About Parallel TCG Open Beta Season 9
Parallel TCG just launched Open Beta Season 9: Collective Triumph, bringing fresh rewards and gameplay dynamics with a new Battle Pass. This season introduces exciting cosmetics, a new rare card called Killbox, and even more achievements to unlock. The Killbox card, a Kathari rarity, costs 5 Energy and is an Effect type card that grants friendly units +1/+0, but only during the turn it’s deployed. This card brings fresh strategic opportunities to the game, encouraging players to experiment with different approaches.

Cosmetic rewards this season include a unique Paragon Skin, an exclusive Card Back, and a Card Frame that can only be unlocked through this season’s Battle Pass. A new achievement titled “Crashing Wave” unlocks at Battle Pass Level 33, adding an extra incentive to level up through matches and daily or weekly challenges. These features contribute to keeping the game immersive and challenging for both veteran players and newcomers.

This season also brings the chance to win collectible editions of the Merciless Bulwark card for those who participated in last season. If you minted or purchased the First Edition (FE) version of Merciless Bulwark and still hold it in your wallet by November 8, 00:00 UTC, you’re automatically entered into a raffle. This gives participants a chance to win a Special Edition (SE), Perfect Loop (PL), or Masterpiece (MP) of the Merciless Bulwark card. The system treats each FE card as a raffle ticket, so the more FE cards you have, the higher your chance of winning. Winners will have their prizes directly delivered to their wallets. For anyone interested, Merciless Bulwark is available in the Parallel Battle Pass Cards [Base] collection on OpenSea, with a current floor price of 0.0049 ETH on Base.
New Killbox Raffle
Parallel TCG isn’t stopping there. Another raffle will be held for Special Edition and Masterpiece versions of the newly introduced Killbox card. More information on this raffle will be shared towards the end of the season, providing players another reason to stay engaged. This addition builds on the game’s collectible ecosystem, giving loyal players more to look forward to with each update.
Following the excitement of Season 9, players can look forward to the Aftermath expansion, set to launch at the end of November. The expansion promises new cards that will deepen gameplay and allow players to explore new strategies. The Aftermath Drop, scheduled for November 23, will allow players to purchase these new cards in packs. This new release has already been building anticipation within the community, as fans eagerly await the chance to expand their collections and try new decks.
Since August, developers have consistently shared new card artwork and descriptions on social media, posting one card a day and sparking excitement across the fanbase. Over 50 cards have been unveiled, but details about their specific functions remain under wraps. The team has also been encouraging the community to retweet for a chance to win Aftermath packs, keeping fan engagement high. The visual appeal of the artwork paired with hints of lore has created a buzz that enhances the upcoming release’s mystique.
At the start of October, Parallel TCG revealed the addition of “Supply Cache tokens” in the Aftermath expansion. An X (formerly Twitter) thread introduced five types of Supply Caches, each with its unique name and artwork, though their purpose in the game is still unclear. This introduction adds a sense of mystery, as players speculate on how these tokens might impact gameplay or interact with existing features. The developers’ choice to gradually unveil details maintains interest and keeps the community guessing about what each Supply Cache will offer.
While exact prices and further expansion details are still under wraps, it’s likely that announcements will soon provide more information about the Aftermath expansion. If all goes as planned, Aftermath will mark Parallel TCG’s second major expansion in 2024, following Planetfall’s successful release in March. Each expansion brings new layers to the game, expanding its narrative and gameplay complexity, solidifying Parallel TCG’s place in the blockchain gaming scene.
Parallel TCG has not just been expanding through its card releases but also through collaborations and new game projects. In September, they partnered with YGG to organize a $100k tournament at the YGG Play Summit, which will take place later this month. This tournament brings more exposure to the game, attracting both long-time players and newcomers. The partnership showcases the game’s growth within the blockchain gaming ecosystem.
September also saw the announcement of Project Ceti, a third-person shooter that will take place in Parallel’s shared sci-fi universe. This new title represents a significant step for Parallel Studios as they expand their creative vision and introduce fresh experiences for their fanbase. Between these developments and new expansions, Parallel TCG’s universe is rapidly evolving, establishing a strong presence in the world of blockchain-powered gaming.
