The web3 mobile pet racing game DOGAMÍ Academy, supported by Ubisoft and Animoca, introduced two major updates this month: the Battle Pass and new Cosmetics. These additions bring fresh opportunities for customization and rewards, enhancing the game’s experience for players.
DOGAMÍ Academy’s Latest Update
The Battle Pass is a progression-based feature designed for players to earn various in-game rewards. By advancing through levels, players can unlock currencies, materials, consumables, and new cosmetics for their Dogami pets. With this addition, DOGAMÍ Academy has shifted to a seasonal format. Each season lasts about a month and includes a unique Battle Pass with 50 levels. These levels don’t align with a pet’s level; instead, progression depends on earning Battle Points, which players can gain through daily and weekly missions.

To level up the Battle Pass, players need Battle Points, awarded based on mission difficulty. While regular racing provides Battle Points, missions yield a significantly higher quantity. At the start of each new season, points reset, meaning players must earn points anew for each season.
Each season of the Battle Pass offers two tracks: Free and Premium. Players on the Free track earn standard rewards, while those on the Premium track unlock enhanced prizes. Accessing the Premium Battle Pass costs 500 NUBIX, though players can convert their $DOGA tokens to meet this amount. Importantly, the Battle Pass ties directly to a player’s game account, so points can be earned with any Dogami pet owned or under Pet-sitting.
Season 1, which began on November 6th and lasts for 34 days, requires players to claim their unlocked rewards before the season’s end, as unclaimed rewards expire once the season concludes. Holders of Doga Bones enjoy additional benefits, including multipliers that aid faster progression through the Battle Pass.
DOGAMÍ Academy Cosmetics
The game’s second update introduces a range of Cosmetics. Players can now add distinct Collars and Skins to their pets, using two new slots solely for non-NFT items, though plans exist to allow NFTs in future updates. These cosmetics add customization options, letting players style their pets with unique textures and patterns.

Currently, there are eight available cosmetics, including four Collars and four Skins, each with distinct rarities. Collar Cosmetics are designed for styling, adding themed textures and ornaments to help pets stand out. The available collars—Horus, Snakes, Beetle, and Winged—are of Rare rarity and showcase unique styles for each pet. Skin Cosmetics allow players to alter a pet’s appearance, modifying features like fur and eyes without impacting the pet’s physical NFT attributes. Available skins include Horus Green Symbol (Uncommon), Horus Red Symbol (Uncommon), Sand Cloak with Blue Mark (Epic), and Sand Cloak with Gold Mark (Epic).
Currently, these new Cosmetics are non-NFTs, but there are plans to introduce Cosmetic NFTs in the future. Players will eventually have access to both server-based and blockchain-based cosmetics, allowing for asset ownership and trading. The game will also let players equip cosmetics on any Dogami they choose, including pets under Pet-sitting, with automatic unequipping once Pet-sitting ends.
Looking ahead, DOGAMÍ Academy aims to add more customization options. By the end of this year, the Aura slot is expected to launch, with additional slots and Cosmetics planned for release from Q1 2025 onward. These updates promise further options for players who want to personalize their experience with more flexibility and variety.
