Delabs Games’ Shift to Telegram for Ragnarok
South Korean developer Delabs Games has said that the popular role-playing game series Ragnarok will launch on Telegram in the first quarter of 2025. This is a significant change for the business, which is turning to the expanding Telegram crypto gaming market. The popular brand will get a new adaptation that is tailored to the Telegram environment and focuses on maze exploring gameplay. This modification is a component of the company's larger plan to capitalize on the platform's potential in the gaming industry.

In order to maximize Telegram's messaging platform, the new Ragnarok game will include special social aspects. These features will be integrated into the gameplay, allowing players to interact more directly within the app. By embracing these social tools, Delabs Games hopes to enhance the experience for Telegram users while keeping the original spirit of Ragnarok. The game will not only stay true to the franchise's legacy but will also introduce modern elements, including Web3 features, which will appeal to both new and longtime fans.
Delabs Games has secured new funding to support this venture, receiving backing from TON Ventures and a private investor. TON Ventures is aligned with The Open Network (TON), a blockchain network connected to Telegram. The TON network has seen rapid growth in 2024, thanks to successful crypto games like Notcoin and Hamster Kombat. This backing is an essential part of Delabs’ push to develop crypto gaming on Telegram, tapping into the platform’s expanding ecosystem. The company’s move towards Telegram represents a strategic shift, aligning with current trends in the gaming and crypto industries.
Boxing Star’s Telegram Release
In addition to Ragnarok, Delabs Games is also planning to adapt its mobile game Boxing Star for Telegram. Slated for release in Q3 2025, Boxing Star has already been a major success on mobile platforms, with over 70 million downloads. The game’s adaptation to Telegram will likely expand its audience, bringing the well-loved boxing game to crypto gamers on the platform. This step signals Delabs’ commitment to integrating its most successful titles with Telegram’s growing gaming ecosystem.

Before making this pivot, Delabs tested Telegram’s gaming potential with its July launch of the baseball-themed game Giga Chad Bat. Additionally, Delabs’ parent company, 4:33 Creative Lab, has experience integrating games into social platforms, having worked with titles like Blade and Hero on South Korea’s Kakao platform. Delabs also developed Rumble Racing Star, a racing game reminiscent of Mario Kart, and has other projects in the works, including Metabolts and Space Frontier. These projects highlight Delabs' track record of adapting games to new platforms and their forward-thinking approach to the gaming industry.
