MetalCore Season 2 Kicks Off with $100k in Rewards

Beginning on December 17th, MetalCore: Gearbreakers Glory will show its second season till December 31st. For a $100k prize pool in $MCG tokens, players can compete by ranking on two different leaderboards. PvP and PvE gameplay are interestingly combined in this season, with an emphasis on the Gearbreakers faction, a group of humans with superior technology.

MetalCore Season 2: Gearbreakers Glory Kicks Off

Season 2 introduces chaotic sci-fi battles in the PvX format. Players can join the Gearbreakers faction in the free-to-play MetalCore Prime game on the Epic Games Store. This season also includes MetalCore Missions, a browser-based idle game. In order to go up the leaderboards and get rewards, players in both games can accrue Merit points and Marks.

The $100k prize pool is divided as follows:

• MetalCore Missions: $75k for the top 100 players with the most Marks.
• MetalCore Prime: $25k for the top 250 players with the most Merit.

MetalCore Missions is a free browser-based idle game. Players send units on missions to earn Credits, XP, and Marks. Credits can buy the Season Pass, XP transfers to the main game, and Marks rank players on the leaderboard. Each player starts with a free unit, but owning NFTs unlocks additional missions and rewards. Special missions offer multipliers:

• Aircraft missions: x3 rewards.
• Mech missions: x5 rewards.

MetalCore Prime features massive PvP and PvE battles in an open world. Players can fight solo or team up to complete contracts and participate in World Domination events. Inspired by King of the Hill, these events challenge factions to capture map areas for rewards. The game also integrates with Solana and GameShift, improving accessibility for blockchain gaming.

How to Join the Leaderboards

To compete for $MCG rewards, players need a Season Pass. The pass unlocks leaderboard access and offers perks like faster repair times, bonus Marks, and exclusive in-game items. Three tiers are available:

1. Gold Pass: 500,000 Holy Credits or 5000 Shards.
   • +10% XP Gain, +15% Credit Gain, +50% Marks.
   • Exclusive rewards: Gladiator Mech, Lensman Infantry, Green D Jetbike Skin.
2. Silver Pass: 200,000 Holy Credits or 2000 Shards.
   • +5% XP Gain, +10% Credit Gain, +25% Marks.
   • Exclusive rewards: Lensman Infantry, Green D Jetbike Skin.
3. Bronze Pass: 25,000 Holy Credits or 250 Shards.
   • +5% Credit Gain.
   • Exclusive reward: Green D Jetbike Skin.

Players can earn Credits by playing MetalCore Prime or MetalCore Missions. Credits are used to buy the Season Pass, while Shards can be purchased with fiat, $MCG tokens, or USDC. For example:

• 250 Shards (Bronze Pass): $22.
• 20 Shards: $2 (convertible to 2000 Credits).

Players can use both free and premium options to unlock leaderboard access and claim rewards.
