Kokodi Arena has officially launched its Season 1, offering a thrilling third-person extraction shooter experience. This web3 fantasy game allows NFT holders to join the action and earn various rewards through gameplay. Players can download the game via the HyperPlay launcher to start playing and earning. The game combines the excitement of extraction shooters and blockchain technology, where each victory and skillful move leads to valuable rewards.
Introduction to Kokodi Arena: Season 1
Season 1 is a play-to-airdrop campaign where players can earn Play Points (PP) through gameplay. The goal is to top the rankings and claim a bigger share of rewards. Play Points are earned by engaging in Quick Match mode. Every kill, capture, and victory earns players valuable points. The highest-ranking players at the end of the season can win rare NFT skins, invite codes, $KOKO tokens, and more. Details about the invite codes remain a mystery.

$KOKO is an upcoming ERC20 token on the Avalanche network designed to power the game’s economy. Players will receive 10% off in-game purchases made using $KOKO. In Q1 2025, the token generation event (TGE) is anticipated to occur. One important component of the game is the Play Points system. Every match in Quick Match mode rewards players with Play Points, which can be used to buy loot boxes and skins. Additionally, at the end of each season, Play Points will convert into $KOKO tokens.
Game Modes in Kokodi Arena
Kokodi Arena offers two exciting game modes: Extraction Royale and Team Arena. Extraction Royale combines the extraction shooter and battle royale genres, allowing players to drop into a colorful map. Here, players collect loot that can be kept for future matches as long as they make it out alive. However, there is a risk. Players won’t know what the portal they find does until they try it. It could teleport them to another part of the map or destroy their loot, depending on the zone level.
As the match progresses, the map shrinks, and the areas become more dangerous. Demons and monsters infest the zones, making it harder for players to survive. The game encourages cooperation by offering a revive mechanic and a three-wheeled bicycle for transporting teams. The longer a player stays in a zone, the more loot they can gather, but they also risk facing tougher challenges.
Team Arena is a competitive 4v4 mode inspired by Escape from Tarkov's Arena. Players battle each other in a fast-paced 2-minute fight, followed by a point capture phase. Capturing a point takes 15 seconds, but players must fend off enemies during this time. If both teams fail to capture the point within 40 seconds, a slow death mode begins. To recover, players need to use the Fountain in the middle of the map. The competition is won by the first team to complete five rounds.

Four distinct races are available to players in both game modes; each has special skills and stats tailored to a particular playstyle. A variety of melee and ranged weapons, including bows, crossbows, spears, and swords, are available in the game. This variety adds depth to the gameplay, as players can strategically choose the weapon that suits their approach to combat.
To join Season 1 of Kokodi Arena, players need to own an NFT from one of three collections: KOKODI, Mask, or Lootbox. These NFTs are available on platforms like OpenSea and Blur for KOKODI and Mask, while Lootboxes are sold on the Sphere marketplace. The Lootbox, specifically the Prime Core Box, is currently the most affordable option at around 300 $BEAM (approximately $7.50).
Once you own one of these NFTs, you can head over to HyperPlay, download the game, and start collecting Play Points. The more points you earn, the bigger share of the $KOKO airdrop and other rewards you can win.

The exact duration of Season 1 has not been publicly announced, but players can participate during a specific timeframe each day. The designated playtime is 18:00 – 20:00 UTC, which ensures that enough players are available to play the game and participate in the airdrop campaign. There are also hints that other NFT holders, like those from the Koko Pogz collection, may eventually join the season.
Kokodi Arena will eventually be free to play and available on the Epic Games Store for Windows PCs, expanding its availability beyond the NFT-gated Season 1.
