An MMO strategy game, Valannia is developed on the Solana blockchain, combining web3, NFTs, and crypto on a single platform. Participants take on the roles of avatars from one of eight factions in this medieval fantasy setting. With a variety of gameplay dynamics, the socially conscious game provides players with an involved experience. Through a decentralized autonomous organization (DAO), players engage in governance, resource gathering, item creation, asset buying, and asset selling. In addition to offering a thrilling and entertaining experience, Valannia lets players investigate play-to-earn options.

In Terms Of Valannia

Valannia combines traditional MMO elements with real-time strategy (RTS) gameplay. Players can engage in combat, control avatars, and command troops. The game offers the freedom to choose play styles based on personality. Players who prefer a passive role can become merchants, while more active players can interact in the capital city's tavern. Adventurers can search for treasures, while others may follow a military path. Each player has a unique experience depending on the faction they align with in one of Valannia’s eight cities.

Valannia has three main gameplay zones: Green, Yellow, and Red. The Green Zone is where social interactions happen, players can trade, shop, and build. The Yellow Zone, which lies outside the capitals, is for combat. It’s full of resources, but also risky, as players can attack each other. The Red Zone is the most dangerous and unexplored part of Valannia. While offering the highest rewards, it also carries the highest risk. Dying in the Yellow Zone means losing some inventory, but death in the Red Zone results in permanent asset loss, including NFTs.

Gameplay Elements

Valannia offers a variety of professions like explorer, merchant, and blacksmith. Players can craft items using resources gathered from the game world. Rarer resources increase the value of crafted items. Players can also engage in mega constructions, contributing to political, military, and commercial activities in the game. The Valannia Arena is a core feature where players can participate in 1v1 or 2v2 battles using NFTs. Players direct armies and heroes, with each having unique combat abilities.

The game features eight distinct races, each with its own culture and philosophy. These races include Feyrune, Lerathi, Altari, Zan’thar, Tyxen, Glorb, Humanos, and Pirith. Each race offers different gameplay experiences and roles within the Valannia universe.

Valannia has a robust in-game economy centered on trading raw materials, resources, and in-game items. The economy operates using Valannium Gold, which is not a token. Players also interact with resources, Valannia tokens, and gems. These resources are earned through various gameplay activities, including PvE (player versus environment) interactions.

Valannia tokens and Valannium Gold serve different purposes in the game. The Valannia token is primarily used for transactions outside the game, such as trading NFTs. It can also be mined in high-risk areas like the Red Zone. Players use the token for constructing structures, creating units, and participating in governance. A significant portion of the tokens are reintegrated into the game for mining, creating a sustainable economic cycle. Valannium Gold, on the other hand, is the primary in-game currency for player-to-player transactions and can be purchased with real money or Valannia tokens.

Valannia has reserved 8% of its token supply, or 960,000 tokens, for staking and yield farming. This rewards players who lock their tokens for a set period, encouraging active community participation. A token-burning mechanism is also in place to control the token supply and increase value. A total of 2,500,000 tokens will be burned through in-game activities, such as completing challenges or making transactions. This helps maintain the growth and value of the Valannia token.

Valannia is built on Unreal Engine 5. The full-scale game will launch in the next 2-4 years. However, Valannia Arena, a multiplayer version focused on 1v1 and 2v2 combat, will be available by the end of 2024. Players can pre-register for Arena and experience fast-paced battles. A browser-compatible MMO version with a functional economy will also launch by year-end, offering an early glimpse into the Valannia world.

To play Valannia Arena, players need to set up a crypto wallet, even if they don’t plan to engage with blockchain or NFTs. After creating a wallet, players can join the Alpha version by obtaining a ring, which unlocks special perks. The Arena is free-to-play, offering competitive gameplay where players select heroes and combat units. Players can start with non-NFT assets, with the option to unlock more as they progress.
