Meta Oracle Brings Forecasting and $WC Token Rewards to Wildcard Fans

Thousands has introduced its first metagame product called Meta Oracle. It brings prediction-based gameplay into the Wildcard experience, letting spectators make micro-forecasts while watching matches. Instead of just viewing, fans now get the chance to put their knowledge into play, test their instincts, and earn rewards.

Meta Oracle is designed to change the way fans interact with Wildcard. Rather than being passive viewers, spectators can predict small in-game outcomes such as player stats, specific events, or character performance. Each correct call boosts your Insight Score, which shows how accurate you are compared to others. Fans with high Insight Scores can climb leaderboards, gain recognition, and earn real rewards. It adds an extra layer of excitement to the matches while also making spectating more engaging.

Meta Oracle works like fantasy sports, but with a web3 layer. Every correct prediction about a knockout, a capture, or an important play adds to your score. Fans don’t need to play Wildcard themselves to participate. They can simply watch exhibition matches streamed on Thousands.tv and join in on the predictions.

In this first version, forecasts are tied to bigger trends rather than each individual match. Examples include changes to character play rates or the average length of matches after balance updates. Spectators can improve their chances of winning by watching live games or playing Wildcard themselves to gain more knowledge.

When you make the right forecast, you not only raise your Insight Score but also earn $WC tokens from the forecast prize pool. Even just participating can give you some token rewards. Over time, Insight will unlock higher-tier rewards powered by $WC tokens. Live leaderboards track progress, while Thousands’ protocol ensures all rewards are distributed fairly and transparently.

This first release is just the beginning. Meta Oracle V1 lays the foundation for a growing ecosystem of metagames. The team has said that future seasons and updates will bring new forecasting opportunities and reward structures. While details on the roadmap have not yet been shared, the promise of ongoing development makes the system flexible and evolving. At launch, there are four forecasts tied to Wildcard’s balance changes and character usage:

• Will Guardian summons be played more or less? (up to 660k $WC)
• Will Ragna’s play rate rise or fall? (up to 540k $WC)
• Will Bolgar’s total damage increase or decrease? (up to 530k $WC)
• Will matches last longer or shorter after balance changes? (up to 550k $WC)

Each forecast has a dedicated page where you can make a call. Forecasts can be made using Credits, the native currency of Thousands.tv. Credits are also used for livestream purchases and other platform interactions.

Credits can be purchased directly on Thousands.tv through card payment or in USDC on Base. At the moment, a pre-season sale gives extra Credits on each purchase. For example, $9.99 gets you 1320 Credits instead of the usual 1200. Bundles scale up to $1449.99 for 291.5k Credits.

You can make free forecasts, but wagering Credits increases your chances of winning a larger share of rewards. Everyone who takes part receives base rewards, and those who guess correctly earn extra. This system encourages participation while also rewarding accuracy.
