Wildcard has officially distributed the first phase of its $WC token airdrop to eligible players. Alongside the airdrop, the development team has launched Wildpaper 2.0, an updated version of its whitepaper. The first phase of the $WC token airdrop, known as the “Retroactive Airdrop,” rewarded early supporters of Wildcard. More $WC Token Airdrops Are Coming

Wildcard is not stopping with the initial airdrop. The next phase of $WC token distribution will take place during the Wildcard Exhibition Series campaign. This second phase introduces a new distribution mechanism called “Airlock.”

Airlocked tokens are standard ERC-20 tokens but cannot be traded immediately. They will only become tradable once the airlock is lifted. Wildcard’s developers believe this method will help generate awareness and liquidity before tokens enter the open market. The goal is to ensure a healthy launch backed by a strong community of engaged holders.

Players interested in earning Airlocked tokens should participate in the Thousands Network and Thousands.tv platform. Wildcard previously introduced Thousands as a dedicated streaming platform for web3 esports. As part of the Wildcard Exhibition Series, events will be streamed exclusively on Thousands.tv, and participants will be rewarded with $WC tokens after each event. However, the FAQ confirms that players will not be able to earn tokens directly through the main Wildcard game.
