Snap Apps are stand-alone versions of Remix games that work independently of the Remix hub. They are web-based, easy to share, and can be played instantly inside host platforms such as World App, Base, or Farcaster. Unlike traditional apps that take time to install, Snap Apps launch right away, making it simple for players to join without downloads or setup.

For creators, this means stronger retention and smoother engagement. It gives them a better shot at building loyal audiences. Snap Apps also reduce the barrier to entry, allowing solo developers or small teams to focus on ideas instead of resources.

Key features include custom domains, independent discoverability, built-in utilities like analytics and push notifications, and no coding requirements. A game can be built using plain language prompts, removing the need for game engine knowledge.

Getting a Snap App ready for World App follows a clear process. First, a game must “graduate” inside Remix. Graduation requires reaching certain milestones: over 1000 plays, 500 unique players, 25 favorites, and a rating above 4 with at least 10 reviews.

Once a game hits these benchmarks, it can be published to the World App. Creators can do this by opening the Snap Apps tab on their Remix dashboard and selecting the World App option. The process is straightforward and puts games directly in front of World App’s growing user base.

The Remix x Worldcoin $5000 Contest

To highlight this launch, Remix and Worldcoin are running a creator contest with a total prize pool of $5000. The pool is divided into five categories, each worth $1000.
