The Elite 8 Tournament Begins

The Origins Season 13 Postseason just got more intense. After a full season of arena battles, TCO Nub led the pack and finished at the top of the leaderboard. But leaderboard rank doesn’t mean much in the Elite 8. This is where the top eight players of the season go head-to-head. The competition kicked off on July 13 at 6 PM PHT (6 AM EST), and the livestream began an hour later. These elite players are fighting for a share of the 3,000 AXS prize pool. On top of that, each participant got Morph Tickets before the tournament started. These tickets helped them prepare their teams in advance, adding an extra level of strategy.

To join the tournament, players needed to register three teams. Each team had to include three axies. There were limits on axie part sharing to keep things fair. Players could not use more than nine shared parts across all three teams. Once they locked in their lineups, no changes were allowed. If they included collectible axies, those axies needed to have morph parts, which were also locked in. A validation tool was available to help players double-check that their teams followed the rules. This system pushed players to think strategically, even before the first match began.

This tournament uses a double elimination format. If a player loses a match, they drop into the lower bracket. If they lose again, they’re out. It keeps the pressure high and the matches exciting. The Grand Finals come with a twist. If a player makes it to the end of the upper bracket without a single loss, they get a twice-to-beat advantage. That means their opponent has to beat them twice to win the title.

Each match uses a “First to 3” format. To win a match, a player must win one game with each of their three teams. Once a team wins a game, that team can’t be used again in that match. This rule forces players to plan their team order with care. Another important note: the Rice card is banned due to a known bug. Any axies with that card are disqualified automatically.

Collector Rewards in Season 13

There’s more than just the tournament going on. Collectors have their own rewards waiting. Axie Infinity is giving out Season 13 rewards through collectible axie tickets. These tickets were linked to the tier of Collectible Chest players earned during the season. The more tickets you had, the bigger your share of the 7,000 AXS reward pool.

A total of 17,667,073 tickets were issued during Season 13. Each ticket is worth 0.3962173 mAXS. Once the rewards are calculated, the AXS will be sent directly to players’ Ronin wallets. There’s no need to claim or convert anything. It’s all handled automatically.

Season 13 is closing out with action and rewards, but Origins isn’t slowing down. Season 14 is on the horizon, and so is the Atia’s Legacy playtest. More updates are coming soon. Players should keep an eye out and get ready for the next phase.
