Planet Mojo, the studio behind Mojo Melee, has introduced their new token, MOJO, along with plans for an airdrop campaign and token distribution. The MOJO token has already been released, with a token contract in place. Furthermore, the studio aims to offer this token to players in a forthcoming update while initiating an airdrop campaign based on social engagement.

The MOJO token, already deployed on Polygon with the contract address 0xeD2d13A70acbD61074fC56bd0d0845e35f793e5E, represents utility within Planet Mojo's ecosystem. Participants in Mojo Melee's March Madness event might have already received a token airdrop, signaling the token's presence. However, functionalities such as buying, selling, or transferring the tokens will be enabled upon listing on a centralized exchange. Yet, certain criteria, including passing a KYC process and having a non-US address, are prerequisites for unlocking airdropped tokens.

With a total supply of 1 billion tokens, MOJO serves as the utility token across various games and experiences within Planet Mojo's universe. Thirty million tokens are allocated for public distribution, while 320 million are earmarked for monthly community rewards over five years. In Mojo Melee, players earn MOJO tokens through Duel matches, with winnings contingent upon factors like player rank, collection tier, and win streak. The token finds application in acquiring cosmetic items, gameplay boosters, tournament entry fees, and random loot boxes. Additionally, MOJO functions as the governance token, enabling holders to vote on governance proposals.
