Guardians of Elderym: A New Era for Gods Unchained

Gods Unchained is about to enter a new chapter with its latest expansion, Guardians of Elderym. This release brings an exciting crossover with Guild of Guardians (GoG), one of the top web3 fantasy RPGs. For the first time, Guardians from Elderym are being summoned into Faenar, the main world of Gods Unchained. These characters from GoG are now playable cards, unlocking new strategies for players while deepening the lore between both games.

The Guardians of Elderym set introduces 76 cards. Players can find 7 Legendary cards and 6 Mythic Art Variants. These Mythics are special. They’re 1/1 NFTs, making them rare and highly collectible. Each comes with its own original artwork.

The expansion offers three types of card packs. Each has a different price, rarity chance, and purpose:

• Booster Packs: $1.99 for casual players, offering a balanced mix of cards.
• Premium Packs: $19.99 with higher odds for rare cards and a shot at a Mythic Variant.
• Shiny Packs: $199.99. These guarantee cards with Shadow or better shine and Epic or better rarity, plus an exclusive Mythic.

Supply is limited. There will only be 30,000 Booster Packs, 3,000 Premium Packs, and 600 Shiny Packs. Once they’re gone, they’re gone.

One of the biggest updates in this expansion is the Level Up mechanic. This new keyword brings a fresh way to unlock powerful abilities in battle. Here’s how it works:

When a card says “Level Up 5,” that means players must spend five mana across their turns for its stronger ability to activate. It doesn’t have to happen all at once. The game keeps track of mana spent over time, making it easier to unlock effects during longer matches.

Even better, the Level Up mechanic works on any copies of that card made during a game. This opens the door for creative strategies and combos.

Mythic Art Variants: The Collector’s Prize

Six Mythic Art Variants are the real highlights for collectors and players who enjoy rare NFTs. The characters featured in these cards are TianLong, Phoenicia, Oxellus, Kharkuk, Lia, and Ennara. Each one is detailed, with fantasy-themed artwork that reflects their in-game powers.

These Mythic Variants won’t be easy to get. Some appear in Premium or Shiny Packs, while others are tied to limited-time events or specific rewards.

Players can grab packs of Guardians of Elderym starting June 24 at 11 AM AEST from the Gods Unchained website. The sale will last for 28 days or until everything sells out.

To buy, players need to connect their wallets on the Immutable zkEVM network. Supported currencies for purchasing include GODS, ETH, IMX, GOG, and USDC.

Sealed Mode is also getting a boost with this expansion. Players can win up to four reward tiers, with the highest being the Heroic Pack. This pack gives the best odds for pulling Mythics and Legendaries.

Collectors should also note that exclusive trinkets like Skeleton Assassin and Water Elemental will only be found in Sealed Mode. One of the top rewards here is Lia’s Mythic Art Variant, a prized card for those who perform well.

To keep things fair and balanced, there will be a four-week balancing period once the set is live. During this time, the team will track how cards perform in matches and make tweaks if necessary. After four weeks, the set will be locked, giving players a stable environment for both casual and competitive play.
