Pre-Registration Event for The Bornless

Developer Cathedral Studios opened pre-registration for The Bornless on August 8. Players can wishlist the horror extraction FPS on Steam and join a Gleam competition for a chance to get rewards. Signing up is free and available to everyone.

Pre-registering comes with the chance to get exclusive in-game items and real prizes. Players can earn a unique player banner, a new playable demon, Enigma Boxes, an exclusive avatar, in-game currency, and special gun and truck skins. There are also physical prizes like exclusive merchandise and an Nvidia GPU.

The rewards depend on community wishlist milestones before the Early Access launch. There are six milestones:

  • 300,000 wishlists – Common Enigma Box
  • 400,000 wishlists – Unique Player Banner & Avatar
  • 450,000 wishlists – Rare Enigma Box
  • 500,000 wishlists – Unique Gun & Truck Skin
  • 750,000 wishlists – 500 Obsidian
  • 1,000,000 wishlists – Playable Demon

There are now 335,360 items on the wishlist. This indicates that everyone who pre-registered has already had access to the Common Enigma Box. Better things are thought to be found in rarer Enigma Boxes, which are thought to contain skins or weaponry.

Enter the Gleam competition by going to the official Pre-Registration Campaign page. Sign in, add the game to your wishlist on Steam using a connected account, and sign up for the newsletter. Signing up for the newsletter ensures access to upcoming open weekend playtests and unlocks an Enigma Box. From the store site, you can also ask for playtest access.

Finish additional Gleam social chores to increase your chances of winning prizes. These consist of sharing content on X and Bluesky, recommending friends, uploading user-generated content to YouTube, and keeping up with the game on social media. Entries for the large prize draw are added with each action.

The Gleam contest lasts for ninety days. This provides enough time to support the game and gather entries. After the campaign concludes, the prize pool winner will be made public. Up to the Early Access launch, milestone prizes are still accessible. With Steam displaying "Coming soon," the release date is not yet confirmed.

Register as soon as possible if you want a chance at the main prize pool in addition to in-game rewards. Your chances of winning the Nvidia GPU and merchandise giveaways are increased if you post material on social media every day.

In Terms Of The Bornless

The Bornless is a horror extraction FPS set on Farmouth Island off the Massachusetts coast during the 1960s. The main mode, Ritual Mode, is a PvPvE survival experience. You and a partner explore eerie areas, complete quests, gather loot, and activate ritual sites to summon a demon that can hunt other players.

If another team completes the ritual first, you must escape to an extraction point before time runs out. The island holds hostile cultists and monsters along with other players. Collect Sigils to transform into a demon and turn the tables on your enemies.

Before each match, you can customize your loadout with weapons and abilities. Successful extractions reward you with gear and powers to improve your character.

The Bornless is not a play-to-earn game. The developers are exploring blockchain for interested players but are not focusing on it right now. They have no current plans to add crypto features to the main game.

Later on, optional external components like player asset ownership, NFT trading, and other non-gameplay features might be added. The blockchain community has its own Discord. Prior to include a trading economy, the primary goal is still to develop a classic, excellent game with a sizable player base.

Before the end of 2025, The Bornless will be made available on Steam for Windows PCs under Early Access. Some players may have access to playtests earlier. Future plans call for a console release.

Playing the game won't be free. The anticipated cost of Early Access varies by area and ranges from $15 to $20.
