Pixels Team Unveils Pixel Dungeons Spinoff
The developers of the well-known Ethereum MMO game Pixels have revealed Pixel Dungeons, a brand-new spinoff. The game, which was unveiled on Monday, features dungeon-based warfare in which players compete in quick-paced tasks to acquire the well-known PIXEL token.

Pixel Dungeons, developed in partnership with Crack and Stack, brings an action-packed experience for players. Players traverse perilous dungeons, vanquish adversaries, and gather treasures in every round. The two-minute timer that drives the gameplay forces players to take immediate action. During that time, players can mine PIXEL tokens, use TNT to take down goblins, and avoid hazards like lava. To win, players must not only collect treasures but also sabotage opponents to stay on top.
First Partnership With an External Studio
This is the first game that the Pixels team has published in collaboration with an outside studio. It marks a new stage in the team's efforts to expand the ecosystem for PIXEL tokens. Alongside Pixel Dungeons, the team recently soft-launched a new Telegram-based game called Pixels Tap Track. Once fully rolled out, this game will also allow players to earn PIXEL tokens.

In all of their endeavors, Pixels founder and CEO Luke Barwikowski reiterated the value of the PIXEL coin. "Any upcoming game releases or acquisitions will be in line with our objective of using the PIXEL token to increase Web3 gaming visibility and monetize it," he stated. The PIXEL token connects every game in their ecosystem, offering players opportunities to earn, spend, and reinvest their rewards.
The original Pixels game, built on the Ethereum sidechain gaming network Ronin, has seen strong growth in player engagement. According to Barwikowski, Pixels now has around 200,000 monthly active spenders. The game distributed 22 million PIXEL tokens in November alone, which amounts to roughly $5 million based on the current price. Notably, players reinvested about half of those tokens back into the game, showing a high level of engagement and loyalty.

The Pixel Dungeons closed beta officially kicks off on Monday. Access to the beta is tiered and based on reputation scores within the original Pixels game. Early access to both free and paid maps will be granted to players with a reputation score higher than 3,000. This system rewards dedicated players who have actively contributed to the Pixels community.
The release of Pixel Dungeons highlights the Pixels team’s commitment to expanding Web3 gaming. They are developing a networked ecosystem centered on the PIXEL coin by launching new games and forming alliances. Gamers may anticipate additional chances to win prizes while taking part in fresh and interesting gaming experiences.
The Pixels team is responding to the increasing demand for competitive, reward-driven games with Pixel Dungeons. The game is positioned to draw in both new players and devoted fans who are keen to explore the Web3 gaming scene by fusing fast-paced action with cryptocurrency prizes.
