DeFi Kingdoms Introduces PvP Tournaments

DeFi Kingdoms is launching PvP Tournaments on February 26th. These tournaments will be available exclusively on the Metis network. After bringing PvP combat and PvE Patrols to Metis, the team is now adding a 6-month series of competitions with over $75k in prizes, exclusive NFTs, and more rewards. The series will end with an All-Star Tournament, where the champion takes home $10k and other special prizes.

There are multiple ways to take part, even without directly competing. The tournament structure includes various events with different rules. The format is bracketed, single-elimination, and offers prizes along with Qualifier Tokens. These tokens allow players to progress to higher levels of competition and are tradable if players wish to step out or have extras.

The tournament series begins with the Submersian Grand Opening. Players must rank high in one level to access the next, earning rewards along the way. The first stage consists of 16-player Daily Skirmishes, running twice a day from Monday to Friday. Winning rewards include a tradable Qualifier Token for Weekend Warrior Tournaments or a non-tradable token for the Revengers competition. Entry costs $5, and tournament rules change weekly. The first Daily Skirmish starts on February 27th.

Weekend Warrior Tournaments

These tournaments take place every Saturday and Sunday. Entry requires a $10 fee and a Qualifier Token from Daily Skirmishes. Winners receive $100, treasure chests, and a tradable Qualifier Token for the monthly Champion Invitational Tournaments. Players ranking outside the top two get a non-tradable Qualifier Token for the Revenger’s Champion tournament, plus additional rewards based on placement.

This tournament is another path to the All-Star Tournament. It features 32 players and occurs every six weeks. Entry requires a specific Qualifier Token and a $20 fee. The winner receives a tradable Qualifier Token for the All-Star event, $300, and rewards from treasure chests.

Winners of the Weekend Warrior events move on to the Champion Invitational, held weekly. This tournament has a $20 entry fee and is limited to 16 players with the required Qualifier Token. The top two finishers earn a tradable Qualifier Token for the All-Star competition. The winner also gets $1000 and treasure chests, while the runner-up takes home $400 and similar prizes.

The All-Star Tournament

This one-time showdown at the end of the 6-month series features the 16 best players. All Heroes are eligible to fight for the $10k grand prize. Entry requires a $200 fee and a Qualifier Token from either the Champion Invitational or Revenger’s Champion.

An official Google Calendar with the first four weeks of tournaments is available through an X post. The first limited-time event, the Gold Rush Open, will be held once every four weeks. This event offers another way to enter the Champion Invitational or Revengers tournaments for a $20 entry fee, payable in DFKGOLD tokens.

Most matches will have sponsorships, allowing spectators to engage by using their Influence to vote on winners. Correct predictions earn rewards, making it possible to participate without entering the arena.
