NEXUS and Redlab Join Forces
On November 4, blockchain infrastructure company NEXUS announced a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Redlab Games, a South Korean studio known for developing large-scale MMORPGs. This new partnership supports the development of onchain gaming through the CROSS platform, which NEXUS has been building throughout 2025.
The deal brings together both sides’ strengths. Redlab contributes deep experience in online game creation, while NEXUS provides blockchain tools that simplify game integration. Their shared goal is to make blockchain gaming accessible without adding technical barriers for users or developers.
The MOU outlines several collaboration areas. Both companies will develop blockchain-based game features that keep gameplay smooth and user-friendly. Key focuses include token-based items, creator programs, and secure marketplaces.
They will also test AI-powered support tools that can help players and developers. These tools will handle questions related to tokens, gameplay, and system functions. Another part of the deal involves knowledge sharing. NEXUS and Redlab plan to document their findings so that other studios can start exploring onchain gaming more easily.

About Redlab Games
Redlab Games is known for building deep, challenging RPGs. The studio calls itself an “RPG Lab for Adults,” creating games with large-scale battles, PvP, and detailed class systems. Its biggest success so far is ROM: Remember of Majesty, released in early 2024 through Kakao Games. The title reached #2 on Google Play in Korea and #3 in Taiwan. It also won “Best Game” for PC in Taiwan and Hong Kong at Google Play’s Best of 2024 Awards.
ROM supports both PC and mobile with shared servers. Players can choose multiple classes, customize characters, summon guardians, and join massive world battles.
ROM: Golden Age and Blockchain Integration
Following ROM’s success, Redlab launched ROM: Golden Age in August 2025 with added blockchain functions. Built on the WEMIX mainnet and published through WEMIX PLAY, it brought play-to-earn elements under a model called “RPG Tokenomics 3.0.”
Players earn in-game currencies, Dia and Crystals, which can be minted into blockchain tokens — CROM and CRYSTAL. CROM can be converted to USDC.e and then regular USDC on Ethereum, while CRYSTAL supports in-game progress and trading. This system gives players real-world value for their time.
Even with these blockchain additions, Redlab kept the same gameplay and world. The move helped maintain its player base while attracting new users from the crypto community.
There has been no confirmation about ROM: Golden Age moving to the CROSS ecosystem. The MOU focuses on new collaborations, not current game migrations. ROM: Golden Age remains on WEMIX, supported by Wemade. Future projects between NEXUS and Redlab are still under discussion.

NEXUS created CROSS Protocol, a web3 ecosystem for gaming launched in 2025. The company, listed on KOSDAQ and led by Henry Chang, offers tools that make blockchain use simpler for developers.
Its products include:
- ARA AI Integration: a support assistant for gameplay and token questions.
- CROSS Ramp Console: a dashboard that lets studios create and manage tokens with low-code tools.
- CROSS Platform: a toolkit for wallets, marketplaces, and digital asset management.
These tools reduce the complexity of blockchain development, allowing studios to focus on creating enjoyable games.
With the MOU in place, NEXUS and Redlab will begin rolling out their shared plan. This includes technical setup, blockchain testing, and developer tools for future titles. Updates will be released through official NEXUS and CROSS channels.
Both companies share the same vision: making blockchain gaming simple, engaging, and fair. As NEXUS CEO Henry Chang said, “The combination of an MMORPG and well-designed tokenomics increases immersion and delivers a fresh kind of fun. Together with Redlab Games, we’ll create new milestones for blockchain gaming.”
