Brave Group Secures JP¥300M in Funding and Forms Capital Alliance with Animoca Brands Japan for Metaverse Expansion

Brave Group startup has announced a strategic funding round of JP¥300 million and formed a capital and business alliance with Animoca Brands Japan. This action is taken in preparation for expanding business and speeding up global growth in the realm of the Metaverse.

Animoca Brands Japan is a strategic subsidiary of Hong Kong's Web3 company Animoca Brands and is focused on supporting the global Web3 strategies of Japanese intellectual property and content holders such as major publishers, brands, education, sports/athletes, artists, and game companies. 

Animoca Brands has made 45 investments. Their most recent investment was on Feb. 7, 2022, when raised $2.4M. They are known to have invested in one of the top NFT games such as Alien Worlds, My DeFi Pet, and Splinterlands.

This funding round brings Brave Group's cumulative funding amount to JP¥3.04 billion. The company is currently engaged in businesses within the Metaverse area, such as the IP business that operates ‘RIOT MUSIC’(virtual music production) and ‘Vspo!’ (the next-generation Virtual eSports project.

Since 2022, Brave Group has been focusing on global expansion around its own IP. The company believes that the partnership with Animoca Brands Japan will be a key factor in achieving its global expansion goals. The partnership will allow Brave Group to tap into Animoca Brands Japan's expertise in the Web3 world and its connections to Japanese IP holders.
