Big Time reveals its in-game Economy

Big Time is an upcoming multiplayer action RPG crypto game that seeks to combine fast-paced combat within an adventure fantasy setting. As part of its roadmap, Big Time Studios finally announced its in-game economic model on Twitter. 

The announcement is accompanied by a comprehensive overview of its planned “cosmetic-based” economy. Big Time studios compare its upcoming economy to a “typical free-to-play cosmetic economy” in traditional video games such as Valorant, League of Legends, and Fortnite. 

Its economy will be centered around the distribution of in-game digital NFT cosmetics that have a limited supply and are entirely unique. Given that it's a fantasy action RPG game, the digital cosmetics will seek to emulate this feel, giving players the opportunity to show it off.

Cosmetic NFTs can be acquired in-game by defeating enemies or purchasing them from other players in the Marketplace. Another NFT Big Time offers is the utility NFTs. These give players the ability to produce, upgrade, and repair in-game items like rare weapons and armor skins.

Cosmetic Economy

The upcoming player-owned cosmetic collectibles can be traded and sold by players. Users will also be granted exclusive access to certain areas in the game such as a comfy lounge or portal.

Players will be able to participate by acquiring SPACE and Utility NFTs. SPACE is Big Time’s version of digital land, giving players an opportunity to expand their personal metaverse. Meanwhile, Utility NFTs allow players to craft cosmetic collectibles.

Big Time is still using $TIME as its cryptocurrency. Players will be able to generate tokens using the Hourglasses NFT. Hourglass scarcity ensures that only a fixed number of players can equip them. Moreover, the $TIME token’s supply is capped with a maximum issuance of 100,000,000,000 but the sinks of the currency will keep growing as the player base grows.
