Axie Infinity, the popular breeding and card battler game, has just released its Origins Offseason Patch, bringing a host of exciting updates and improvements to the game.

One of the most significant changes is the inclusion of Season 2 Runes and Charms for all players. These powerful items will be available until the start of Season 2, and can be accessed by checking your mailbox for the gift and opening it through your inventory. It’s worth noting that these Runes and Charms cannot be crafted or disenchanted for Moonshards, and will be removed once Season 2 begins.

In addition to the Runes and Charms, the patch also features updated card mechanics for Season 2. These changes should provide an interesting new dynamic to gameplay, and will be an essential element for players to consider as they strategize their moves.

To ensure that players are getting the most out of these updates, Season 1 Runes and Charms have been disabled. This will allow players to fully test out the new mechanics and provide valuable feedback to the Axie Infinity team.

Another important aspect of the Origins Offseason Patch is the updated Rank Decay system. Players are now required to play at least one Ranked game per day to avoid decay, which applies to all ranks above Hare. Decay occurs daily at 00:00 am GMT, so it’s important to make sure you’re keeping up with your ranked matches.

The patch also includes an improved matchmaking system, which aims to provide players with matches against opponents who are closer to their rating. The system still allows for some flexibility, as it will widen the search range over time if necessary. Players will remain in the queue until a match is found or they choose to cancel.

In addition to these changes, the patch includes a number of quality of life improvements, such as special border colors for cards based on their mechanics, and a bug fix for the keep mechanic during practice battles.

The Origins Offseason Patch brings a host of exciting updates to Axie Infinity, including powerful Season 2 Runes and Charms for all players. Along with updated card mechanics and quality of life improvements, this update is sure to keep players engaged and entertained.
