The highly anticipated Axie Classic Competitive Season 5, a virtual reality play-to-earn and collectible pet-themed game. has officially started, offering a range of rewards and exciting updates. With 35.6K AXS up for grabs—equivalent to around $166k—this four-week season is a major event for all Classic players. Axie Classic Competitive Season 5

Players have until September 19th at 8 AM PH / 8 PM EST to rise through the ranks and claim their rewards. Guilds should also pay attention, as the top eight will earn Placement Points for future Guild Wars.

Guilds remain a key part of the Axie Classic competitive landscape.This season, the Guild Leaderboard has a reward pool of 10,000 AXS, with an additional 3,000 AXS for Guild Milestones. Members of the guild must carefully organize their methods to maximize their prize pool, as the Guild Leaderboard will close concurrently with the Arena Leaderboard.

Mini Tournaments are back with some updates. The daily prize pool has increased to 500 AXS, distributed over two shifts of 13 hours each. Draws will no longer negatively impact your battle count, giving players more chances to win. Additionally, the MMR system has been adjusted, particularly for Master and Challenger ranks. The top tiers will revert to the old ranking system, and the decay rate has been reduced, helping players maintain their ranks more easily. New guild members will begin earning Guild Points at the end of the following day.

This season introduces the Coliseum Chest, a new item obtainable in the Cursed Coliseum. These chests can contain valuable Artifacts or offer a spin on the Golden Wheel. To start a new session in the Coliseum, players must have at least one empty chest slot. The Golden Wheel has also received an upgrade. Re-rolls now cost Gems instead of SLP, and players with high Axie Classic Reputation Scores can earn both AXS and SLP tokens.

Season 5 Battle Pass and Updates

The Season 5 Battle Pass is now available, providing opportunities to earn Artifacts and Gold. The Premium Pass comes with additional rewards, including AXS, SLP, and the exclusive Lantern Legend banner. Mystic Axie holders can purchase the Premium Pass at a 50% discount. The Season 5 Championship is set to be a high-stakes event. With 3,000 AXS in the prize pool and a chance to qualify for the Axie World Cup, the competition will be fierce. The top 16 players from the Arena Leaderboard will qualify automatically, while those ranked 17-100 will compete in a private tournament for the remaining spots. The Season Championship will then pit the 32 remaining players against one another to decide the ultimate victor.
