Mobile payment firm Zebedee and mobile game studio Viker announced last Wednesday the launch of two new play-to-earn games, Bitcoin Chess and Bitcoin Scratch. Zebedee is a Bitcoin-focused gaming infrastructure firm that was established in October 2019 and publishes Bitcoin-specific games via its mobile app.

The two new games, Bitcoin Chess and Bitcoin Scratch, are the most recent additions to Viker’s portfolio of Zebedee-powered games, which already includes well-known titles like Solitaire and Sudoku. They are both accessible on iOS and Android.

In the strategic game Bitcoin Chess, players can earn Bitcoin as they progress through the game, while in Bitcoin Scratch, players are given packs of scratch cards with the opportunity to win Bitcoin if the cards have the proper combination of symbols on them. The two new games represent yet another turning point in a collaboration that has so far resulted in 10 titles and helped establish the idea of sustainable “play-and-earn” in casual mobile games, powered by Bitcoin microtransactions.

According to Zebedee, players are given a portion of the game’s revenue, with Viker sharing a part of the earnings with them. This approach creates a more captivating experience for the players, resulting in higher retention rates, and making the game more profitable. The company emphasized that players will only earn a small amount, a few cents per session, but this is what makes the concept sustainable.

About Zebedee and Viker

To begin, you must download the Zebedee app. Zebedee is a fintech company and the next-generation payment processor for the gaming sector. It is backed by studios including The Raine Group, Initial Capital, Lakestar, Kingsway Capital, and Square Enix as well as global venture capitalists. On the other side, Viker is a play-and-earn mobile gaming firm that wants to make blockchain games accessible to all players.

The launch of these two games is a significant step forward in the development of the gaming industry, as it brings the concept of play-to-earn to a broader audience. The partnership between Zebedee and Viker has already proven to be successful, and the launch of these two new games is expected to further solidify their position as leaders in the gaming industry.
