Web3 Game Studio Jungle Raises $6 Million for New Mobile NFT Shooter Game

Web3 game studio Jungle has successfully raised $6 million in its seed funding round, with backing from Bitkraft Ventures, Framework Ventures, and Delphi Digital. The funding will be used to develop a new mobile NFT shooter game, which Jungle has yet to reveal.

Bitkraft Ventures has notably invested in a number of popular web3 gaming titles. A few of which are Crypto Unicorns, Blocklords, and Cipher. Meanwhile, Framework Ventures has invested in gaming developer Mighty Bear Games.

Mobile NFT Shooter

This will be the first gaming title from the startup, and it is hoping to tap into the wider gaming audience by focusing on the mobile platform. Mobile gaming is becoming increasingly popular due to its high accessibility, and Jungle is looking to use this to its advantage.

Web3 gaming is still a relatively new concept, but the rise of mobile gaming has the potential to help mainstream adoption of this technology. With mobile gaming being so widely accessible, it could bring more users into the world of web3 gaming and introduce them to blockchain-based games and NFTs.

According to a statement from Decrypt, Jungle CEO Joao Beraldo says that “Our strategy is to identify mobile games, either already live or in the process of being launched, which have the potential to be successfully converted to Web3-first titles and become dominant titles within their genre in the blockchain gaming space” and that mobile gaming is “the only one with the potential to onboard a mass audience to Web3”.

This is why PC and browser-based shooters such as EV.IO and Undead Blocks have made strides in providing a mobile version of their games for players. Although neither title has yet made a dedicated mobile version, their browser-based application has a mobile format for ease of access.
