“The Fabled,” a highly anticipated souls-like RPG, has just opened its first alpha for players to explore and fight their way through the abyss. Powered by XenumChain, this free-to-play action RPG is set in a multiverse of unique worlds, each with its own lore, challenges, and rewards.

To play the alpha, players will need either a Mintpass or a MintKey NFT. The alpha is also open to those on the whitelist, although openings for the first round have already closed. This first alpha serves as a demo, introducing players to the game’s controls and challenging them with powerful enemies, similar to the Dark Souls series.

The game features a variety of classes for players to choose from, including warriors, gods, and demons. Each character has unique stats and abilities, and players will need to strategize and choose the right setup to take down powerful enemies. In addition to fighting on foot, players can also ride on the backs of beasts and dragons, facing new challenges and enemies in the sky.

The Fabled boasts stunning visuals thanks to its use of Unreal Engine 5, as well as an in-depth AI and NPC interaction system complete with branching dialog and complex behavior mechanics. Players will be able to make friends and allies, or enemies and mortal foes, depending on their interactions with NPCs. They can also recruit allies as followers to bring into the abyss to fight alongside them.

Throughout their journey, players will be able to collect rare weapons, artifacts, and level up their characters. They can also mint these assets onto the blockchain using $ABYS, giving them the ability to trade, sell, buy, and rent assets with other players, as well as attain exclusive items only available through the market. $ABYS allows players to monetize their time in the game.

The Fabled’s second alpha is set to be released in January or February, giving players even more opportunities to explore the vast and fantastical landscapes of this new fantasy world.
