Star Atlas, the space-themed MMO, is set to launch "Starbased" on April 2nd, introducing a new update to the SAGE Labs module. This eagerly anticipated phase promises to revolutionize gameplay with the introduction of starbases.

"Starbased" invites players to upgrade and maintain their starbases, heralding a new era of galactic expansion within the Star Atlas universe. Scheduled for release on April 2nd, this update promises exciting new dynamics for players to explore.

With the launch of Starbased, significant economic shifts are underway. Existing game IDs will transition to Starbased on April 16th, resetting economic elements to zero. Additionally, ATLAS emissions will see a drastic 50% reduction, accompanied by the phased-out of Armstrong ships from Faction Claims.

Starbased introduces players to the challenge of constructing and nurturing faction starbases. Beginning at tier 1, players must undertake upgrades and maintenance to achieve full operational status. This presents an opportunity for players to engage in extensive supply chains across factions, fostering a deeper sense of community.

The gameplay experience is enriched with the introduction of Loyalty Points (LP). Players earn LP by contributing to faction goals, such as starbase upgrades and maintenance, which can be exchanged for a share of daily ATLAS rewards.
