Square Enix Drops Cinematic Teaser: First Look at Symbiogenesis

Symbiogenesis, an upcoming NFT project from gaming giant Square Enix, has unveiled a cinematic teaser trailer that gives users a first look at the game's setting. The trailer introduces a mysterious Floating Continent.

What could be in store for gamers in this web3-based narrative game?

Cinematic Trailer Tease

The trailer revealed the “Floating Continent First Look PV” which unveiled a complete look at the project’s first location, revealing a floating landmass that looks to house a vibrant city with numerous locations.

For the past few days, Symbiogenesis Twitter has been slowly revealing several locations contained within this continent such as The School, The Church, and The Hospital. Each contains a dark backstory behind it, giving us more information about the mysterious lore.

Alongside the trailer, the Symbiogenesis team has announced the launch of its full website on March 17th. This website will provide much-needed additional information about the game, which has been shrouded in mystery thus far. Perhaps we will finally piece together the missing puzzle soon.

The School

Symbiogenesis will be a narrative-unlock web3 game that features 10,000 collectible NFT artworks with in-game utility. In addition to its rich and mysterious backstory, the game will take players through a main story and missions using unique in-game characters of different types and races.

Final Thoughts

The game's developers are keeping much of its content under wraps, but the teaser trailer has generated plenty of excitement among NFT enthusiasts. 

Square Enix is known to be highly supportive of NFT projects and games and it seems that despite the recent change in its CEO, the gaming company still seeks to pursue making unique web3 games for us to experience.
