First Look at Project O from a TCG Perspective
Project O is a new trading card game developed by Koin Games, featuring a team with experience in both web2 and web3 gaming. The game introduces upgradeable 3D cards and is set in a fantasy world filled with characters from myths, legends, and classic fairy tales. Matches are fast-paced, chaotic, and packed with action.
Players build a 13-card deck and aim to destroy two of the opponent’s three generators. While it includes classic TCG elements like spells and summon effects, Project O changes things up with simultaneous turns—adding speed and unpredictability to each round.

Characters and First Impressions
The characters are immediately eye-catching. Familiar figures like Robin Hood, Red Riding Hood, and Winnie the Pooh are mixed with original designs. These characters serve as animated avatars rather than gameplay units, similar to tacticians in Teamfight Tactics, with unique victory animations that add personality and fun to every win.

The current pre-alpha Windows build already feels polished. Only two pre-built decks are available so far, but the interface is clean and thoughtfully designed—clearly not a rushed project.
Battles unfold across three different locations, each with special effects reminiscent of Marvel Snap. However, instead of power stacking, players engage in full card-based combat—deploying units, casting spells, and fighting strategically.
Each location has three slots per player. Cards can be played freely across these slots. The goal is to take down two generators, which function like health bars for each lane. If the same lane is broken twice, it returns with more HP, keeping the tension high.
Gameplay Mechanics and Flow
Players start with one energy and gain one more each turn, following a simple, non-carryover system—use it or lose it. The unique twist lies in simultaneous turns. Both players act within a time limit, then all moves resolve at once. This format cuts downtime and keeps matches brisk and engaging.
Combat is straightforward. Units without blockers hit generators directly. When opposing units clash, damage is exchanged, and defeated units are removed. Placement matters—once a card is placed, it stays unless moved by specific abilities, adding strategic depth.
After breaking two generators, players can finish the match with a cinematic victory animation—adding flair, much like those seen in TFT or fighting games.

Collectors will find extra appeal in the Blueprint system, designed to offer cosmetic card ownership. There's talk about digital ownership and royalty sharing, though details are still developing. Cards will be available through packs and trading, with possible systems for leveling, grading, and fusion. It’s clearly built with collectors and cosmetic customization in mind.
