Pixelmon TCG Goes Live in Asia-Pacific

Pixelmon TCG is now live in Early Access across the Asia-Pacific region. Players in Southeast Asia, Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Australia can download the new trading card battler today on Google Play. The game is currently only compatible with Android smartphones. As the team gets ready for a worldwide deployment, expansion to additional platforms and geographical areas will occur gradually.

Players may already fight, construct decks, and experiment with the game's mana system and monster evolution features, despite the build still being tested. Gems serve as the primary form of payment for in-app transactions. Gems can be purchased in-app or through the Web App using $MON. During Early Access, APAC players who buy Gems will receive a 120% rebate at the end of this phase. All progress will reset before the global launch, giving every player a fair start.

The game will also feature Early Access tournaments in the coming weeks. These tournaments will be hosted in partnership with selected gaming guilds. Details on format and rewards have not yet been shared. For now, it gives competitive players a chance to test strategies and showcase their deck-building skills.

While APAC is the current focus, Pixelmon TCG will also release a version in Germany tied to the Gamescom booth. This version will be limited to pre-registered users on the Play Store. There is no update yet on when the German build will expand to the rest of Europe. A launch in India is also under review, pending final QA checks with local testers. Until then, the game remains limited to the listed APAC countries.

The World of Pixelmon TCG

Pixelmon TCG is set in the fantasy land of Nova Thera. It blends monster collection with tactical card battles, offering quick matches that last around 5 minutes. Each deck is built from elemental cards and evolution chains, allowing for unique playstyles.

Matches use a shared mana system. Every action, attack, or evolution costs mana. Players must balance usage carefully, since overspending can hand momentum to the opponent. Monsters start in basic form and can evolve during matches into stronger versions with special abilities. Timing is key, as the right evolution can shift the flow of battle.

Players can build decks that suit different strategies. Some focus on forest guardians with healing powers. Others build fire-heavy decks that burn down enemy health fast. The game includes over 100 monsters and spells spread across ranked, casual, and event modes.

Each card is fully voiced and animated, featuring vibrant fantasy artwork. Monsters range from forest beasts to sky dragons, with cinematic effects that bring battles to life.

Pixelmon TCG is free to play. Rewards are earned through gameplay, while bundles and upgrades can be purchased with Gems. This mix allows casual players to enjoy the game while giving competitive players options to boost progress.

The launch of Pixelmon TCG is backed by Avalanche’s web3 infrastructure. In May 2025, Pixelmon announced a partnership with Avalanche to build mobile-first games on its network. Avalanche provides fast transactions, scalability, and onchain ownership.

Through this system, players can own and trade digital assets such as monsters, companions, and items. This makes Pixelmon one of the growing titles in the crossover space between gaming and crypto.

Pixelmon’s roadmap extends beyond trading cards. Warden’s Ascent, a turn-based RPG, is already in beta testing. It lets players explore Nova Thera with monsters and story-driven quests. Another title, Nova Thera Chronicles, focuses on idle RPG mechanics with monster merging and real-time battles.

Together, these games create a connected world within Nova Thera. Each title explores different genres but shares the same fantasy setting and evolving ecosystem.

Pixelmon’s decision to launch on Android first reflects how players in APAC game today. The region leads global gaming revenue, and mobile-first design fits the habits of this market. With matches lasting only 5 minutes, Pixelmon TCG is designed for quick play sessions that can fit into daily routines.

Players in the supported APAC countries can download Pixelmon TCG now from Google Play. Search for “Pixelmon TCG” or visit the developer page under “Mon.co” to find the game, along with other titles like Warden’s Ascent and Nova Thera Chronicles.

For other regions, more updates will follow soon. The global rollout is planned for later in 2025. Until then, all attention is on how APAC players respond to the early build and what changes may come from community feedback.
