Parallel Studios is ready to bring its award-winning trading card game to the Epic Games Store. This is a big step for the gaming studio known for blending art and technology. With backgrounds including Blizzard, Ubisoft, and Riot Games, the team is set to make a mark in the world of card gaming.

Parallel is a free-to-play digital trading card game set in a fascinating sci-fi universe. It features five parallel evolutions of humanity, battling for control of Earth 10,000 years in the future. Players collect cards, build 40-card decks from one of the five factions and a Universal pool, and engage in strategic battles against other players.

Unique Features

Parallel stands out from other trading card games like Magic the Gathering and Hearthstone in several ways:

• Free to Play  
  Players can earn and play cards without making any purchases. Free players are entered into weekly and monthly giveaways each season. There are also rewards from in-game tournaments, battle passes, referring friends, and winning ranked matches.
• Bank Cards for Energy
  Players choose which cards to bank each turn, gaining energy to play units, relics, effects, and upgrades. Deciding which card to bank and which to play is key, as the right combination can lead to victory.
• Paragons & Factions
  The game has five unique factions with 15 leaders (Paragons), each with their own abilities, allowing players to craft unique play styles.
• Play at Your Pace
  Parallel offers different game modes for all types of players. Beginners and casual players can enjoy unranked, AI, and rookie modes. Competitive players can join the Ranked Ladder and Tournament Modes for exclusive rewards and prizes.

Success and Future Plans

Parallel Studios, founded in 2021, has already seen success. Despite the TCG being in open beta, the game has won several game of the year awards. The studio announced a $500,000 prize pool for its 2024 competitive scene. Professional players and prominent creators from Hearthstone have joined Parallel’s ambassador program, setting the stage for the game to become the next big TCG. The studio also released an expansion set called "Planetfall," adding over 100 new cards, with plans for more expansions in the future.
