Parallel Avatar Mint: A Gateway to Multi-Game Avatars and Rewards

Parallel aims to create avatars that can be utilized as central playable characters across a range of games, starting with their trading card game. Equipping an Avatar and winning matches with a matching deck enables players to earn extra PRIME tokens. Furthermore, owning an Avatar provides early access to Colony, a new AI-driven game in development by the Parallel team. Avatars also grant access to upcoming games and the opportunity to have their Avatar featured in a future Parallel comic.

Parallel Avatar Mint Info

There are three methods to acquire a Parallel Avatar. The initial phase of the Parallel Avatar sale commences on July 6th, exclusively for those on the 'Manifest' list. Avatars will be priced at 11 PRIME tokens (~$20 USD). The Manifest is an allowlist feature that rewards dedicated players who are deeply invested in the game. The Manifest includes Masterpiece holders, members of Echelon's Ardent program, and Prismatic Key Holders. The snapshot for the Manifest will occur next week.

Mid-July will see a public sale on OpenSea, with the pricing for this portion yet to be determined. Additionally, there will be a Play-to-Mint option where players can complete the Avatar Challenge in the game to mint an Avatar. Further details regarding this feature will be revealed closer to the beta release, which is expected in late July.

What is Parallel?

Parallel is a science-fiction themed TCG that offers unique gameplay mechanics. In this digital TCG, two players construct a deck of cards and engage in a duel, taking turns drawing and playing cards until one player reduces their opponent's life to zero. Cards in Parallel come in three types: units, effects (spells), and relics. The game introduces five 'Parallels,' which are akin to gods, summoners, or champions found in other games.

Parallel decks consist of 40 cards, allowing up to three copies of a card (except Legendary cards, which are limited to one). Players can use cards from one Parallel and also Universal cards. Each player chooses a Paragon for their deck, providing passive bonuses throughout the match and functioning as in-play units with unique stats and potential bonuses or effects.

The Mana/Energy System

Parallel utilizes a mana/energy system where players must "bank" cards from their hand. Each banked card increases the maximum energy available each turn. Players start the game with zero energy and must bank at least one card. They can bank one card per turn and, on a turn when they bank a card, draw an extra card at the end of their turn.

Earning PRIME Tokens and Additional Features

Players who win matches with NFT cards in their deck are rewarded with PRIME tokens. Parallel also offers a free-to-play option. PRIME is the primary in-game token, and collectors can already earn tokens by staking their cards. Additionally, Parallel provides a card creation tool called Payload, where players can generate new cards by paying a fee in PRIME tokens. Furthermore, the game supports 'Artigraph' cards, which are NFT cards digitally signed by the artist. Players can acquire these limited edition cards by upgrading an existing card and paying a fee.
