Studio369, the developer behind MetalCore, a popular sci-fi mech shooter, is set to debut its Ethereum token alongside the latest phase of its closed beta. This move is poised to introduce new gameplay modes and economic features within the blockchain-based gaming landscape.
Closed Beta 3 Unveils Enhanced Gameplay
MetalCore's Closed Beta 3 (CB3) will debut session-based PvP esports contests on June 27. These competitions will feature modes such as Domination, Capture the Flag, and High-Value Target. These upgrades aim to improve gameplay and appeal to gamers who are competitive and looking for new challenges.
The update also brings faction-based social hubs into MetalCore, fostering community interaction within the game. Moreover, players now have the option to purchase digital collectibles using fiat currency, expanding accessibility to in-game assets.
Launch of MCG Token on Ethereum Mainnet
The token creation event for MCG, the native token of MetalCore, which is available on the Ethereum mainnet and Immutable zkEVM, will take place on June 28 at Studio369. The goal of this project is to improve the game's economic framework by smoothly integrating blockchain technology into the game's ecology.
CEO of Studio369 Matt Candler expressed excitement about the changes and emphasized the company's dedication to transforming blockchain gaming. Delivering an enjoyable gameplay experience supported by a strong in-game economy is still the key priority.
Previous beta phases saw significant interest, with 124,000 waitlisted gamers and 50,000 active users, each averaging 10 hours of playtime. This indicates strong community interest and engagement with MetalCore's evolving features.
Access and Founders Packs
Players can access CB3 through an Epic Games Store key, available for returning players, or by purchasing one of five tiers of Founders Packs. These packs offer a variety of in-game assets such as infantry, mechs, weapons, and shards, enhancing gameplay depth and customization.
In-game items within MetalCore, including infantry, mechs, and weapons, are tokenized as NFTs (Non-Fungible Tokens), ensuring unique ownership and value within the game's economy. In contrast, access keys to the Epic Games Store remain non-tokenized.
With the integration of its Ethereum token and enhanced gameplay features, MetalCore sets a precedent in the blockchain gaming industry. Studio369 continues to innovate, aiming to redefine interactive entertainment with a blend of cutting-edge technology and immersive gameplay experiences.
Final Thoughts
With MetalCore getting ready to release its Ethereum token alongside CB3, the game is leading the way in innovative blockchain gaming. Studio369 hopes to create a dynamic gaming experience that blends competitive gameplay with a flourishing in-game economy by utilizing blockchain technology. With a thriving player base and strong community backing, MetalCore is well-positioned to have a big influence on how digital entertainment is developing.
