MEMEFI Token Launch Scheduled for November 22
MemeFi, a Telegram-based tap-to-earn game, is gearing up for the launch of its MEMEFI token. The launch will take place on Friday, November 22, at 8 a.m. ET (1 p.m. UTC) on the Sui network. This follows the project’s transition from Ethereum Layer-2 Linea to Sui last month. Alongside the launch, MemeFi will enable its highly anticipated airdrop, allowing eligible players to claim their tokens.
Last Saturday, MemeFi disclosed its airdrop allocations, but the process wasn’t without challenges. The team banned 2.5 million accounts flagged as cheaters. Adjustments were made on Tuesday after some accounts were incorrectly allocated too many tokens. With the issues resolved, players are ready for the upcoming claim process.
MemeFi has partnered with OKX as the sole centralized exchange for claiming airdrop tokens. Unlike other Telegram-based games, MemeFi’s arrangement with OKX means users won’t see airdrop support on Binance, Bybit, or KuCoin. However, these platforms will still facilitate MEMEFI trading.

Players using self-custody wallets can claim their tokens on-chain starting an hour before the token generation event. MemeFi will reportedly cover gas fees, but a claim fee may be deducted from allocations. For detailed instructions, including using the OKX Wallet app on Telegram, MemeFi has provided a step-by-step guide.
Using the MEMEFI Token
Once MEMEFI launches, players can trade the token like any other crypto asset. Speculation on its value has already begun. On KuCoin’s pre-market platform, traders predict an average price of $0.012 at launch, while Gate.io forecasts a slightly higher value of $0.016. Keep in mind that pre-market prices are speculative and can often miss the mark.
In addition to trading, MEMEFI will power in-game purchases and act as a governance token. Specifics on these functions remain under wraps, but the token is expected to play a central role in the game’s ecosystem.

The final snapshot for the airdrop was taken on November 15, meaning recent in-game activity won’t affect airdrop allocations. However, players can still earn “MemeFi Stars,” touted as a valuable asset and a future cornerstone of the game’s economy. Details about Stars remain limited, with no mention in the project’s whitepaper.
MemeFi has clarified that the current phase is “NOT Season 2” but instead promises “something much more fun.” A second season is expected, likely featuring revamped gameplay, similar to other tap-to-earn games like Hamster Kombat.
MemeFi’s roadmap currently extends through Q4 2024 but hints at ambitious plans. While specifics are sparse, the project describes itself as “built to expand in exciting new directions.” This suggests that more than just a Season 2 might be on the horizon, potentially bringing fresh mechanics and innovations to the MemeFi ecosystem.
With its token launch, airdrop, and plans for future development, MemeFi is positioning itself as a standout player in the tap-to-earn gaming space.
