Lumiterra is gearing up for its second Closed Beta Test (CBT 2), launching on November 11, 2024, for about three weeks. This test will roll out with fresh gameplay, new features, and wider access, giving players an upgraded experience. The upcoming phase introduces improved beginner quests, refined equipment enhancement options, and several game modes to increase player engagement.
Lumiterra: An Expansive Web3 Multiplayer Adventure
As a free-to-play, cross-platform MMORPG, Lumiterra offers players a mix of survival, crafting, and exploration. Within the game, players encounter NPC monsters for combat experience or can tame these creatures to help with farming activities. The game enables players to grow crops, nurture them with water and fertilizer, and eventually harvest them for in-game benefits.

The game also allows players to craft items and trade them with others. With RON as the in-game currency during CBT, Lumiterra creates an ecosystem that includes NFTs and Lumi Finance, a DeFi protocol. This wide range of features attracts players looking for both gameplay fun and a unique web3 experience.
Lumiterra invites players into an open world where they can freely explore and specialize in combat, agriculture, or gathering. Engaging in battles with monsters builds combat experience, while taming creatures develops agriculture skills. Players focusing on combat unlock access to advanced weapons, while agriculture-focused players evolve into more productive farmers. Farming helps generate resources that players can use to craft better items and upgrade equipment, contributing to the game’s interconnected progression system.
For CBT 2 access, specific groups qualify, including:
- CBT 1 participants with a minimum Reputation Score of 1,000
- CBT 1 players with scores between 300 and 999 who made a top-up purchase
- All CBT 1 players with $5 or more in total top-ups
- Players with whitelist access through events or direct allocation
- Holders of collectible axies
Those who don’t meet these criteria can still join CBT 2 by completing whitelist challenges, with details on Lumiterra’s Discord server for regular updates.

New and Enhanced Features in CBT 2
- Upgraded Equipment Enhancement and Lottery System
The equipment enhancement feature in Lumiterra now lets players upgrade all gear above Level 1, adding a layer of vertical progression. For every enhancement, players are entered into the Enhanced Lottery, giving them the chance to win 70% of the prize pool funded by fees from other players’ enhancements. This system incentivizes players to keep improving their equipment for greater rewards.
- Expanded Dungeon System with Centennial Trials
With six difficulty levels, the dungeon system now allows players to earn higher scores and receive more rewards based on performance. The Centennial Trials introduce a dungeon featuring nine levels with ten stages each and a prize pool that refreshes every 30 minutes. Daily challenges give players a chance to earn critical resources, which are essential for equipment upgrades.
- Escort Slime: A New Team-Based PvP Mode
The Escort Slime event adds a team-based PvP mode where players collaborate to protect a Slime character from enemy attacks. This mode requires coordination to guide the Slime through obstacles and defend against opposing teams. Rewards are given for both successful missions and for defeating rival teams. The event features three Slime types — Emerald, Aqua, and Golden — each presenting unique challenges and reward opportunities.
- Enhanced Onboarding for New Players
CBT 2 introduces a revamped onboarding experience designed to make it easier for new players to dive into Lumiterra. Newcomers now meet three NPC guides — Gunner, Nash, and Hsaki — who help introduce core gameplay elements like combat, crafting, upgrading, and dungeon navigation. These guides streamline the learning process, helping players understand essential gameplay mechanics and better integrate into the game from the start.
