KDR Token Launches on Ronin

The creators of the anime-inspired RPG Kaidro: Clan Battles are set to launch their token, KDR, this week on the Ethereum sidechain network Ronin. A substantial 35% of the token supply will go toward community rewards, opening opportunities for play-to-airdrop campaigns and other fan engagement initiatives.

Kaidro originated as a webcomic series by Gadget-Bot Productions, but it has grown into a vast transmedia franchise. Beyond the webcomic, it includes the RPG Kaidro: Clan Battles, an audiobook series, and an upcoming animated TV series created in collaboration with Tim Hedrick, known for his work on Avatar: The Last Airbender.

This multi-platform approach showcases the creators' ambition to build a deeply engaging and interconnected universe.

December 18 Marks the KDR Token Generation Event

The Ronin network is scheduled to host the KDR token generation event (TGE) on Wednesday, December 18. When the token is launched, it will be traded on the Katana decentralized exchange, which is part of the Ronin ecosystem, and the controlled exchange Bitmart.

With this launch, fans will have new methods to engage with the series as part of a larger plan to incorporate the token into every facet of the Kaidro universe.

Of the 100 million tokens that will be available in total, a sizeable amount will go toward community-driven projects. The largest share, 35%, is reserved for community rewards. Fans who engage with the Kaidro ecosystem by reading the webcomics, playing the RPG, or purchasing NFTs will be eligible for these rewards. This allocation signals a strong focus on user engagement and participation.

The tokenomics also allocate 25% of the supply to investors, with 12% reserved for the team. The team’s share will unlock gradually every three months over four years, ensuring a long-term commitment. Liquidity accounts for 11%, while 9% is set aside for strategic advisors. Ecosystem development receives 4.5%, and 3.5% is allocated for marketing efforts to support the token’s growth.

KDR is designed to serve multiple purposes within the Kaidro ecosystem. It will enable fans to influence the upcoming anime series, potentially through governance mechanisms. Fans can also use the token to unlock exclusive in-game items, purchase merchandise, and even audition as voice actors for the animated series.

The play-to-airdrop campaigns tied to KDR add another layer of utility, rewarding fans for their interaction with the Kaidro universe. These campaigns aim to deepen the connection between the franchise and its community.
