Immutable, a top blockchain tech firm, has partnered with notable Asian companies DM2C and QAQA (BLOCKSMITH & Co). These collaborations follow a partnership with Netmarble's Web3 arm, MARBLEX. This marks a major step for Immutable in entering the Asian market, known for its enthusiastic gaming communities and rapid tech adoption.
"Quiz to Earn" Initiative with QAQA
As part of the partnership, QAQA users can join a "quiz to earn" experience. This quiz aims to boost their knowledge of Web3, blockchain tech, and Immutable. Set to launch in August, it will be available in Japanese and English, with a prize of up to 1,000 USD in tokens. This initiative connects traditional gamers in Japan with the world of Web3 and blockchain gaming. Combining Immutable’s Web3 community with QAQA’s player base and partnerships with industry giants like Warner Bros. Japan, TOEI ADVERTISING, and SEGA Games, this collaboration aims to attract a diverse group of gamers.
Tetsuya Sanada, Founder and CEO of BLOCKSMITH & Co., is excited about the partnership. He sees it as a perfect match, merging their non-Web3 user base with Immutable’s Web3 community. This fusion will speed up their mission to make Web3 accessible to everyone. He looks forward to exploring new collaboration opportunities, including cross-chain interoperability for future games and applications.
In another significant move, DM2C, the Web3 division of DMM, has announced joint initiatives with Immutable. These include promotional events and collaborations involving Immutable’s game "Gods Unchained", DM2C Studio’s upcoming NFT trading card game "KAMIYAGURA," and the digital prize crane game "BOUNTY HUNTERS." Both games are part of the "Seamoon Protocol" project, set for release later this year. This collaboration aims to create a strong engine for global expansion in the Web3 gaming space by combining their marketing efforts and operational expertise. Leveraging DM2C’s presence in the Asia-Pacific market and Immutable’s user base in English-speaking regions, the partnership is expected to accelerate growth and enhance marketing reach through cross-platform user referrals.
Benefits of DM2C Partnership
Kasaki Nagato, CEO of DM2C Studio, highlighted the benefits of the partnership. As part of the DMM group, they have a user base of over 41 million, mainly in Asia. By combining DMM’s expertise in building a Web2 user base in Asia with Immutable’s experience in creating Web3 communities in Western countries, they aim to deliver an unmatched user experience.
These partnerships come after a recent collaboration with South Korea’s MARBLEX, the Web3 arm of Netmarble. This includes migrating from Klaytn Layer 1 to Immutable zkEVM and launching a 20 million "Ecosystem Boost Program" with Netmarble IP titles like Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds, A3: Still Alive, and Meta World: My City. Immutable’s Co-Founder and President, Robbie Ferguson, stressed the huge potential of the Asian market for Web3 gaming. By partnering with industry leaders, Immutable aims to empower developers, educate users, and build a thriving Web3 gaming ecosystem in the region.
Empowering the Future of Web3 Gaming
The partnerships with DM2C, QAQA, and MARBLEX show Immutable’s commitment to expanding in Asia and leveraging the region’s dynamic gaming scene. By integrating innovative Web3 technologies with established gaming communities, Immutable seeks to create unique experiences for gamers. These collaborations not only enhance Immutable’s market reach but also contribute to the broader adoption and understanding of blockchain technology in gaming.
As Immutable continues to form alliances with key industry players, it is set to lead the evolution of Web3 gaming. The company’s strategic partnerships and ongoing initiatives show its dedication to building a global gaming ecosystem that embraces blockchain technology and offers new opportunities for gamers worldwide.
