Illuvium Collaborates with G-Shock on NFT Card Collection

Illuvium, a popular blockchain gaming series, has partnered with Casio's G-Shock brand to launch a unique range of NFT cards. Illuvium Beyond, a collecting card game that lets users monitor and show off their collections, will feature these cards. The third wave of NFT cards in the game is made even more exciting by the collaboration. The cards are available for purchase by players for $35 each in the form of a "D1SK" NFT from December 9 to December 22.

In contrast to its predecessors, Illuvium Beyond is a collectible card game. Unlike the action-packed, immersive games that make up Illuvium's primary portfolio, Illuvium Beyond is primarily about collecting and selling NFT cards. The top 100 players are shown on a leaderboard, and users can earn points based on how many cards they collect. Players' collections gain value since each NFT card in the game is a distinct digital asset. It is accessible straight from the Illuvium website, providing a simple means of interacting with the NFT environment of the game.

Six Illuvitars, or characters from the Illuvium universe, are featured in the new G-Shock cooperation. They are all redesigned with G-Shock equipment. For instance, the body armor worn by the enigmatic monkey character Aapon was modeled from the distinctive design of G-Shock timepieces. Players will have a range of possibilities because each Illuvitar will be available in one of three backgrounds. There will be 108 different card permutations because they will be available in both holographic and non-holographic versions. Collectors who want to finish their virtual booklets are even more excited by the cards' rarity.

The D1SK NFT and Exclusive Watch Reward

To purchase the new NFT cards, players will need to buy D1SK NFTs, each priced at $35. These D1SK tokens will unlock the G-Shock Illuvitar cards, allowing players to add them to their collections. For those who go the extra mile and buy 20 or more D1SKs, there’s an exclusive bonus: a limited-edition physical G-Shock watch featuring Illuvium branding. This reward makes the collection even more enticing for hardcore fans and collectors alike.

While Illuvium Beyond was initially launched in 2023 as a collection-based game, it adds value by being tied to the wider Illuvium universe. In 2024, Illuvium also released its main games, which have quickly gained traction in the crypto gaming space.

While Illuvium Beyond focuses on NFT card collecting, the core Illuvium games take a different approach to gaming. Illuvium: Overworld, Arena, and Zero are fully-fledged games that explore different genres and mechanics. In Overworld, players explore an open-world environment, capturing mythical creatures known as Illuvials and gathering resources to repair their spaceship. Arena offers a strategic auto-battler experience, where Illuvials are used in combat. Meanwhile, Illuvium: Zero focuses on city-building, allowing players to develop land and civilizations to reconnect with their damaged ship.
