Getting Started

To start playing Aurory, all you need to have is a PC and a browser since Aurory Tactics is free to play right now. 

First, go to the Aurory website and connect your wallet. Select the Play Tactics on the left to start playing.

Players will then have the option to connect their wallets. Moreover, Aurory allows users to connect using their Discord, Facebook, and Google accounts.

Gameplay Mechanics

Aurory Tactics plays out on a battle grid using Nefties. These creatures have special abilities that you can use to damage opponents or heal your other Nefties.

At the start, you will be given the choice to select three Nefties for your team. Aurory Tactics is mainly a 3 v 3 Nefties battle between two players. Each player will be given a certain amount of time to determine their next move, which players will go on a turn-by-turn basis.

The main objective is simple: defeat the opponent’s Nefties before you lose yours!

Below your screen will contain the types of attacks your Nefty will have. There are simple attacks, special attacks, and a strong ultimate ability. Hype points are the points you get for the attack that will allow your Nefty to use their special abilities.

Bonus Tip: You can activate attacks by simply pressing the corresponding keys on your keyboard. No need to manually click on each skill, so you can save time.

Remember that if you fail to act on time during your attack phase, you will lose your turn.

Tips and Tricks

Positioning is key

Aurory’s turned-based grid battles demand mastery in positioning. Most Nefties require you to get closer to the enemy to deal damage. But be careful, you might end up being surrounded by the enemy Nefties.

Take note of the play order

On the top of your screen, there will be a bar that’s called the play order. This determines whose turn it is to attack. Make sure to keep an eye on it to effectively strategize your attacks.

NFTs - How to Get Them

NFTs in Aurory come in four different categories: Aurorians, Nefties(Eggs), Land, and Items.

Aurorians NFT

They are the exclusive collection of 10,000 playable character NFTs. They each have their own unique designs and appearance. Although the game is free to play, owning an Aurorian NFT gives several benefits such as early access content, airdrops, and premium P2E rewards.

You can buy them at the Aurory market using $AURY. However, they are also available in external marketplaces like OpenSea and Magic Eden. 

Nefties and Eggs NFT

These magical creatures are the native inhabitants of Aurory. In Aurory’s upcoming adventure mode, they can hatch eggs that you can find on expeditions or you can simply purchase them via the market.

Not all Nefties are born the same. Each one will have its set of attributes that will determine its rarity and strength. Stats such as Hit Points, Initiative, and physical attacks make up for how strong and efficient your Nefty is set to become.

Land NFT

Aurory’s lands are divided into different regions. Each different region will present a different kind of Nefty to unlock and all sorts of quests and dungeons to explore.

Items

Players will be allowed to explore dungeons and locations, as such, we’ll be able to find various in-game items that can be collected. Players can collect in-game items in the following ways:

• In PVE
• In dungeons
• During quests
