H&M has announced the launch of Loooptopia, a new immersive virtual experience on gaming platform Roblox. The digital realm, which was launched on January 3, allows users to experiment with materials and patterns to create virtual garments and wardrobes for their avatars, as well as engage in social interaction with other players, including trading clothes and styling sessions. The experience also includes mini-games and events, and allows users to jump between different worlds, including Rainbooow Fields, Neon Studiooo, and Fabric Fooorest.

In partnership with metaverse studio Dubit, Loooptopia also incorporates elements of circularity, allowing players to recycle their old clothes in order to earn rare elements. This focus on sustainability aligns with H&M’s wider commitment to sustainability in the fashion industry, including its goal of becoming climate positive by 2030.

Loooptopia is the latest example of a brand turning to the digital fashion industry as a way to engage with consumers, with companies such as Nike and Gucci also designing virtual garments. The move into the Web3 space by H&M represents a significant step for the fashion retailer, as it looks to tap into the growing popularity of immersive, interactive experiences on gaming platforms.

Loooptopia offers a fun and creative way for users to explore their digital identity and learn about fashion and sustainability, while also enjoying social interaction with other players. The H&M Loooptopia Experience on Roblox is sure to be a hit with fashion-conscious gamers looking to express themselves and try out new looks in a virtual world.
