Gensokishi Online Meta World, a popular MMORPG that evolved from Elemental Knights Online, has officially released on November 30th, 2022. The Web3 version won the Tokyo Blockchain Game Award and currently boasts a community of approximately 300,000 players. 

The game has undergone closed alpha/beta testing as well as a public beta phase, which ended on November 25th, in preparation for the official release.

Users will be able to play Gensokishi on the following platforms:

• Web(GL)
• iOS (Apple)
• Android

Gensokishi is the most recent iteration of the game series, which received Taiwan’s “Game of the Year” Gold Award in 2012 and has since been downloaded more than 8 million times

Using 3D MMO (3D Mass Multiplayer Online) technology and blockchain technology, this game mixes components of NFT into a metaverse virtual space to create a brand-new fantasy world economic sphere.

GensoKishi Online offers a cutting-edge fantasy gaming experience where players are able to take control of their in-game assets by fusing the MMORPG components of its previous game with the practicality of NFTs and cryptocurrency.

The presale for the Yoshitaka Amano and NFT collection was held on November 20, 2022, and it was a huge success, finishing in less than 7 minutes. The amount of NFTs sold was estimated to be around 11,000.

Due to its free-to-play (F2P) onboarding concept, the Open Beta phase was a resounding success, drawing players from all around the world. Cosplay NFTs are also very popular and in-game importations were among their main points of sale this year.
