Fishing Frenzy Launches on Ronin with Uncharted Waters Campaign

Fishing Frenzy is officially back. Now available on the Ronin network is Uncharted's cozy web3 role-playing game. The Uncharted Waters campaign, the game's first full season, begins today. After a strong alpha phase with 9 million installs and 450,000 real players, it’s now available again with several new features and upgrades.

Fishing Frenzy’s new season brings a lot of fresh content. Players now have access to NFT rods, Shiny Fish, a cooking system, emblems, a battle pass, a VIP program, and Frenzy Points.

You can now mint, trade, and open chests to get NFT fishing rods. These rods can break, so you’ll need to repair them using gold. NFT rods give you a better chance of catching Shiny Fish. These are special NFT versions of regular fish. They are tradeable on Ronin’s marketplace. At the moment, Shiny Fish has a floor price of 0.052 $RON. NFT rods start at 0.10 $RON. Common Founder Chests and other chests start at 1.15 $RON. You can also earn these from weekly leaderboards.

Cooking Adds a New Layer of Gameplay

Fishing Frenzy now has a cooking feature. You can cook the fish you catch and turn them into sashimi. Sashimi can be sold for Pearls. Pearls let you spin a rewards wheel. The wheel includes prizes like gold, sushi, bait, chests, and Frenzy Points. Developers also plan to add more ways to use sashimi in the future.

Players who joined the alpha phase and owned a pet or chest will receive emblems. These emblems will unlock future in-game rewards. This is a pleasant surprise if you participated in phase one.

The new battle pass is available with both free and premium tiers. The premium version costs 20 $RON and gives better rewards, including more Frenzy Points. A new VIP system is also in place. You can earn exclusive NFTs and multipliers depending on your level. To level up, you spend $RON in the shop. Every 1 $RON gives you 5 VIP Points.

Frenzy Points: A Special Bonus System

Frenzy Points are now part of the ecosystem. These can be used to claim special rewards. Details are not confirmed, but they could tie into an upcoming token airdrop. It’s a good idea to collect as many as possible.

You can play Fishing Frenzy for free on any browser. You can join as a guest or sign in using email, SMS, Google, X, Telegram, or through a crypto wallet like MetaMask or Ronin Wallet.

Once in the game, you’ll get a daily login reward. Gameplay is simple. Hold a button to cast. Watch for bubbles. Time your hook. Play a mini-game to reel in the fish. The longer you cast, the more energy it takes. If you miss the hook or fail to reel the fish in time, you lose that energy. Sell fish to earn gold. Use gold to buy sushi, which gives you more energy.

Completing daily and special quests earns you gold and other items. Leaderboards offer weekly rewards like chests and Frenzy Points. Chests are NFTs. Open them for a chance at getting an NFT rod. That rod can then help you catch Shiny Fish.

There are fishing and cooking leaderboards. These track your XP earned during the week. Rarer fish give more XP. Catching more and rarer fish will boost your fishing rank. Cooking XP is earned by preparing dishes. Recipes change daily, so the fish you need will also change.

Frenzy Points are earned through several methods. The premium battle pass gives milestone rewards. VIP level-ups also give points. You can spin the wheel for a chance to get more. You can even earn 5% of the Frenzy Points your referrals gain. Ranking in the top 100 of the weekly leaderboards also gives you extra points.

The Founders Pass NFT offers long-term perks. Only 888 exist. They give exclusive cosmetics, access to future Uncharted rewards, and a token airdrop. The current floor price is 430 $RON. A snapshot was recently taken. Owners who had their NFT in-game (not listed on a marketplace) got 10,000 gold and 100 VIP Points.
