If you miss the game Flappy Bird, we are sure that you will like the play-to-earn game Fancy Birds. The game is essentially the Flappy Bird of web3 and the game just got more exciting as the new update now allows players to shoot down their enemies in the new PvP game mode!
What is Fancy Birds?
As stated above, Fancy Birds is the web3 version of the traditional hit game Flappy Bird that dominated the internet and grabbed most of everyone’s free time back in the day. The only difference is that Fancy Birds actually features PvP game modes wherein players will get immersed in an intense air battle against real players.
The game deviates from the usual tap mechanic of Flappy Bird and one core objective of avoiding obstacles. In the game Fancy Birds, players will really need to fire and dodge bullets from enemies and see who is more skilled and better at the game!
Note that the game is a play-to-earn game and it features the use of NFTs. But if you don’t want to buy NFTs, do not worry because you can still try the game out using a Free Bird or you can rent an NFT Fancy Bird! The game is available on desktop and mobile (iOs and Android) so you don’t have to worry too much about which device you should play on.
What is Sky Wars PvP Mode?
The new PvP game mode of Fancy Birds is called Sky Wars. In this mode, you have two goals in mind: to shoot down other birds and get the highest score.
Note that your bird only has three health points and every time you get hit, you lose one health. If your bird runs out of health points, it dies and the enemy who killed your bird gets one point. Don’t worry, your bird will respawn shortly after!
Also, there are hidden mechanics within the game such as:
- If your bird has less than three health points, it leaves a trail behind so the enemies might have an easier time to track you down.
- You will lose a score if you crash down your bird!
- No points lost by being shot down or crashing into other birds.
- Airdrops:
- Heals your bird or,
- Equip a sniper which allows you to kill other birds with one shot!
Getting those airdrops is a sure way to annoy your enemies so make sure to take advantage. Imagine being ahead by one score and you suddenly get sniped by a random bird with a sniper!
We are sure to try out this PvP game mode once we finally have some free time. Be careful not to get addicted just like last time with old Flappy Bird! If you are also interested in knowing other play-to-earn games in Android, feel free to check our collection!
