Rumble Kong League, a mobile basketball game on Ethereum, will launch its FAME token on Ronin, a gaming-focused Ethereum sidechain, on March 11. The project recently migrated from Avalanche to Ronin, aiming to leverage Ronin’s gaming infrastructure for a smoother experience.

FAME will serve as the utility token for Rumble Kong League’s ecosystem of sports-related activities. The token has a total supply of 7 billion. It will be used to enhance competition, drive engagement, and support the game’s economy. The project has emphasized that FAME will play a key role in growing its community and providing long-term value to players and token holders.

Half of the total supply will go toward community incentives. This includes 2.1 billion FAME tokens, or 30% of the total, allocated for a community airdrop, staking rewards, and Rumble Kong League NFT holders. The airdrop is designed to reward early adopters and loyal players while promoting engagement with the token.

Play-to-Airdrop Rewards

An extra 2% of the supply, or 140 million tokens, will go to those who participated in the project’s Season 1 "play-to-airdrop" campaign. This campaign was available on Android and iOS devices through the Rumble Kong League mobile game. Players who actively engaged in the game during Season 1 will be rewarded with FAME tokens based on their participation levels.

About 25% of the FAME supply is reserved for the team and advisors. These tokens are subject to a six-month cliff and a 24-month vesting period. A full tokenomics update was released on February 11, outlining eligibility details for future FAME token distribution. This allocation guarantees the team's continued dedication to the long-term stability and growth of the project.

In addition to the airdrop, the project is using Ronin Launchpad to hold a "community round" sale. Participants can buy FAME tokens at $0.00429 each before the token generation event on March 11. This sale gives the community a chance to acquire tokens at an early stage and be part of the project’s expansion.

Migration to Ronin

In January, Rumble Kong League made the announcement that it would be switching from Avalanche to Ronin. Ronin's increasing recognition as a favored blockchain for gaming projects due to its scalability and reduced transaction fees had an impact on the choice.
