Experience the 77-Bit Beta
The browser-based MMORPG 77-Bit has launched its beta version, giving players a chance to experience gameplay and earn rewards until April 4th. Developed by BitHub, this playtest introduces different game mechanics and lets players collect Bytes, an in-platform reward currency. Bytes may provide access to exclusive benefits in the future. Players can participate in different ways. They can own a 77-Bit NFT, purchase a Battle Pass, or buy Bits packs. These options allow them to explore the game’s cyberpunk world and progress toward potential future rewards.
During the beta, players can explore three main game modes: Wilds, Dungeons, and the Darknet. The prizes and experiences vary depending on the mode. In the open-world mode known as Wilds, players are free to move around, run into adversaries, and gather priceless riches. It offers a vast setting with unforeseen difficulties and undiscovered gems. Because they can collect vital materials that will enable them to advance in the game, players that enjoy exploring will find Wilds to be a fulfilling experience.

A more structured and difficult experience can be found in dungeons. Players must make their way through hazardous locations teeming with monsters and natural barriers in this mode, which is intended for solitary play. Players will encounter strong bosses in these dungeons that will take skill and strategy to beat. Players who successfully complete these dungeons are rewarded with powerful equipment that may be utilized to improve their character's powers, hidden regions to discover, and rare loot.
The Darknet offers high-risk, high-reward gameplay mechanics in a roguelike fashion. This mode has randomized levels that call for flexibility and fast decision-making. Although completing difficult tasks on the Darknet can yield substantial rewards for players, the difficulty level is significantly higher than in the other modes. In addition to gaining Pixels—a soft currency that can be exchanged for Bytes—the Darknet enables gamers to level up rapidly. Competent players in this mode can advance in the game more quickly and receive higher rewards.

How Bytes and Rewards Work
Bytes play a crucial role in the 77-Bit Beta. Players earn Bytes based on the number of Pixels they collect during gameplay. These Bytes will later convert into Bits, the platform’s premium currency, and may unlock additional rewards. The more Pixels a player collects, the more Bytes they accumulate, increasing their chances of securing future in-game benefits.
Players who rank among the top 5000 Byte holders will earn Iconic status. This status enhances their in-game profile and provides priority access to mint a Quantum Core NFT. Later, this NFT will allow holders to claim a free Land NFT at launch. The Land NFT will be a key asset in the game, giving players the ability to mine essential resources and participate in a broader in-game economy. Owning Land will offer players a strategic advantage, making it a valuable reward for those who achieve Iconic status.

There are multiple ways to access the beta, depending on the player’s status. Players who own a 77-Bit NFT were the first to gain entry on March 19th. These NFT holders received extra perks, including a free Battle Pass, exclusive in-game items, and a Pixel-earning boost. The 77-Bit NFT is available on Ethereum and can be bought on OpenSea. The current floor price is 0.407 ETH.
Players who did not start on March 19th can join by purchasing a Battle Pass for 4200 Bits. This pass grants access from March 21st and includes exclusive beta skins, premium quest bonuses, and a higher Pixel-to-Byte conversion rate. Bits can be purchased on Ethereum, Polygon, Solana, BSC, and Arbitrum. The closest Bits pack options are 2500 Bits for $23.99 and 6500 Bits for $59.99.
Players without an NFT or Battle Pass can still join starting March 25th. They can either qualify for Noob status or buy any Bits pack. The lowest-cost option is 500 Bits for $5.99. Noob status is granted to players who meet four undisclosed criteria. Those with Noob status will have their Bytes converted into Bits, ensuring they still receive premium in-game currency.
Final Thoughts
The 77-Bit Beta offers a chance to explore different gameplay modes and earn rewards with long-term potential. Collecting Bytes can help players achieve Iconic status and gain priority access to the Quantum Core NFT mint. With multiple ways to enter, players have until April 4th to join and secure potential rewards for the full release.
