Top Solana game EV.IO launches on Mobile Platform

EV.IO is one of the many iconic games on the Solana blockchain. Just this week, the team announced on Twitter that the action-packed free to play FPS game is available on mobile devices.

For now, the mobile version can be accessed by logging into the EV.IO on the mobile browser inside your phone which can be optimized to be played in landscape mode. The team has hinted at a future release for a fully optimized mobile version, stating that their latest move is designed to be a “1.0” beta test.

During the mobile beta test, the team will gather feedback from the community and add features as the testing continues. One of the feedbacks received was from a Twitter user named Rare who experienced a bug during testing. 

What is EV.IO?

EV.IO is a free to play NFT arena shooter based on set in a futuristic arena. Based on the Solana Blockchain, EV.IO makes players battle it out in a free-for-all tactical shooter similar to Halo, Destiny, and Quake.

Players have various weapons and abilities scattered throughout the map that they can use to their advantage on the battlefield. Each weapon takes a certain kind of skill to master while abilities are on a cooldown, adding a layer of skill to the already action-packed shooter gameplay.

Players can earn by simply winning and defeating enemies during death matches. Users can earn $SOL by playing the game by using a variety of NFT assets such as character skins and weapon skins that are divided into different tiers.

EV.IO is taking progressive steps toward mobile platform adoption.  Compared to other platforms, mobile gaming has a far wider reach when it comes to gaming. In Asia alone, there are 1.29 billion mobile gaming users.

Expanding its reach towards multiple platforms widens the reach the game currently has. For now, gamers can try out the beta mobile but eventually, we might see a fully optimized version in the near future.
