Fantasy Top and its Influence on Crypto Twitter
Fantasy Top, a new Ethereum-based game, has quickly become a sensation on Crypto Twitter, offering a unique experience where players can create card lineups featuring their favorite influencers. Recently, the game made headlines by distributing $1.25 million worth of Ethereum to top influencers who were turned into NFT trading cards within the game.
Since its launch on the Ethereum scaling network Blast, Fantasy Top has captured the attention of the crypto community. Players can build their card lineups using influential figures from Twitter, earning rewards based on the social engagement of these chosen influencers.
The Transformation of Influencers into In-Game "Heroes"
In Fantasy Top, notable figures from the crypto world have been transformed into in-game "heroes" represented by NFT trading cards. These include well-known personalities such as meme coin trader Ansem, DeGods creator Frank, and Su Zhu, co-founder of the collapsed crypto hedge fund Three Arrows Capital. The game also features influencers like Farokh Sarmad, co-founder of Rug Radio and president of DASTAN.
Influencers receive a 1.5% fee from the trading volume of their cards, along with a share of 10% of all pack sale revenue. The top earners from the first week of the game included content creator Jenn Duong, Ansem, and Blast founder Pacman, each receiving substantial payouts in Ethereum.

Fantasy Top's scoring system is based on real-world social media engagement, but challenges arise when artificial inflation of engagement occurs. Despite concerns about bots artificially boosting scores, the game implements anti-botting protections to ensure fair play.
In addition to Ethereum payouts, players also received Blast Gold, the value of which is estimated to be above $10, adding significant value to the game's rewards. Furthermore, influencers earn FAN points, potentially leading to future token airdrops, although details remain unclear at present.
Future Developments and SocialFi Integration
Fantasy Top plans to introduce a feature allowing influencer "heroes" to share their earned rewards with players who own their in-game cards. This move towards SocialFi integration enhances community engagement and creates new avenues for interaction within the game. Some influencers have already expressed intentions to share their rewards with NFT holders, further solidifying the game's social aspect.
In conclusion, Fantasy Top's innovative approach to gamifying social media engagement has garnered widespread attention within the crypto community. With its unique blend of NFTs, influencer participation, and potential for substantial rewards, the game represents an exciting evolution in decentralized entertainment.
