End of Active Development for Tales of Elleria

Tales of Elleria, the web3 role-playing game built on the Arbitrum blockchain, has officially ended active development. The team had to stop developing new features and upgrades due to financial difficulties that prevented them from going on. Players will still be able to access and enjoy the remaining content for a little period of time since the game's servers will continue to function.

The development team was unambiguous in stating that the decision to discontinue feature additions was a result of revenue problems. Even with efforts to sustain the project, the team couldn’t secure the necessary funds to expand the game further. The team had planned for future updates and new content, but these aspirations could not be realized due to the budget constraints. This implies that there won't be any further game updates or additions in the future.

In September 2024, the team released its most recent major update, which featured player-versus-player (PvP) gaming. This mode was once intended to be a more intricate system. However, due to financial limitations, the PvP feature had to be simplified into an auto-battler format. This marks the completion of the planned roadmap for Tales of Elleria, with no further developments or expansions in sight.

The Last Event: World Boss Zorag

The World Boss, Zorag, will appear in a last event that will mark the end of the game's active development. The dates of this event are September 5–September 16. Players have the ability to take part in dealing damage to the boss. The top 200 players will receive a share of 50,000 $ARB tokens based on their performance. The prize distribution is as follows:

  • Top Spot: 5% of the entire pool
  • Second Position: 4%
  • Third Position: 3%
  • Places 4 through 10: 2% each
  • Places 11 through 25: 1.5% each
  • Places 26 through 50: 1% each
  •  Places 51 through 100: 0.3% each
  •  Places 101 through 200: 0.1% each

Although active development has ended, the servers will remain live for approximately six months or until funding runs out. Players can continue accessing the game’s features, trade tokens, and enjoy the content that remains. This allows dedicated fans to continue exploring and interacting with the world of Elleria.

Apart from maintaining the servers of the game for a restricted time, the developers have made sure that the game's Discord server will be open. Despite its restricted functionality, this platform will let players communicate and carry on the game's conversation.  It provides a space for the community to remain connected as the game moves toward its final closure.
