Defimons, a highly-anticipated monster-catching MMORPG NFT game, is finally launching its alpha release. 

The invite-only alpha called the Hunting Season, will allow players to explore the world of Defimons and embark on quests, missions, and mini-games. They will also get a chance to participate in the first monster mint, revealing what the game is capable of after several months of development.

The monster mint is a free mint composed of three starter monsters, deriving inspiration from how Pokemon games start off the journey with a three-monster roster selection. 

Monsters in Defimons have their own unique characteristics and types, making each one an exclusive non-fungible token(NFT). This means that each monster will be one-of-a-kind and can be owned and traded by players. The game aims to bring an 8-bit Pokemon-like experience to the blockchain.

During the Hunting Season, players who are invited to participate in the alpha will be playable on both PC browser and mobile platforms. However, the team is still working on adding support for iOS and Android devices. 

Defimons invites players to join the Hunting Season and be among the first to experience what the game has to offer. So far, no date has been revealed but the team has hinted it will be coming very soon. We’re speculating it might be released within May.
