Crypto Unicorns developer Laguna Games has recently announced the launch of the Jousting Pre-ELO event. This time-limited event serves as a preparation for the upcoming release of the Joust Rank (Elo rating) in the game. The studio aims to test the major stat rebalancing implemented in the Jousting game mode, allowing players to participate until the official release of the Joust Rank. These changes are set to be included in the Tuning Update scheduled for release on July 13.

Rebalancing Gameplay and Enhancing Total Score

The Jousting Pre-ELO event brings a significant overhaul to how various stats affect gameplay in the Jousting mode. The update aims to add more relevance to the Total Score rather than solely relying on Power as the primary score. Previously, Unicorns with high Power, such as the Cloud 'Corns, held an advantage over others. To address this, the development team has decided to lower the value of Power and transform Speed into an offensive Score. This means that fast Unicorns will now be capable of delivering stronger attacks and earning more Points in the process.

Reworked Endurance and Potions

In addition to the changes in Power and Speed, the role of Endurance in Knockout Recovery has undergone a significant rework. Unicorns with high Endurance will now be more difficult to take out, adding a new layer of strategic depth to battles.

The game's potions have also received an update, increasing the buffs they provide. Tier 1 potions now offer a 10% Score buff, Tier 2 grants a 20% Score buff, and Tier 3 provides a substantial 30% Score buff. These enhanced potions will contribute to the gameplay dynamics and strategic decision-making of players.
