Scheduled to commence on July 15th, the beta playtest for Cradles: Origin of Species is restricted to a maximum of 10,000 players. Access to the beta is granted to holders of Cradles Dinopets NFT and Crystalios NFT. While Dinopets NFTs are available on secondary markets, the sale of Crystalios NFTs, which were expected to take place on July 10th, has been delayed, causing some frustration among the community due to a lack of clear communication from the Cradles team.

Dinopets NFTs and In-Game Benefits
Dinopets are a unique collection of profile picture (PFP) NFTs that not only serve as collectibles but also grant players the ability to acquire dinosaur pets within the game. These NFTs can be obtained on the Open Sea, with prices starting as low as 0.014 ETH ($27 USD). Additionally, Cradles has announced plans to reward beta participants with CRDS tokens, although specific details regarding these rewards have yet to be revealed.

Cradles is an immersive MMORPG set in a world where humans and dinosaurs coexist, featuring a dynamically evolving environment. The game comprises a central city hub, serving as a marketplace and social space, while the surrounding adventure areas offer opportunities for exploration, battles against prehistoric creatures, and resource gathering for crafting. These adventure areas represent different lost eras of Earth's history, with more perilous regions offering greater rewards. Crystals serve as the primary currency in Cradles, enabling players to level up weapons, strengthen equipment, and perform repairs. Notably, Crystals exist as their own blockchain token. They can be earned through daily quests and by mining crystal mines within the game world.

Interestingly, Cradles has opted not to directly sell NFTs but instead focuses on providing value to their token, the DRepublic Coin (DRPC). Players have the freedom to decide which NFTs hold trading value within the game. Moreover, Cradles offers a crafting feature that allows players to create equipment using materials obtained from the adventure areas.

NFT Staking, Rental System, and Subscription Model
Cradles will incorporate an NFT staking and rental system, enabling players to generate passive income. Additionally, the game will adopt a subscription-based model, offering players an all-encompassing experience.
