Blockchain gaming is picking up steam. Most traditional games are onboarding onto the blockchain with the launch of their own tokens. One of these game projects is Celestial.
What is the Celestial Game?
Celestial is an outer space survival game that falls under the Open world game categories. Open world games are non-linear, which means that a character has more than one way of reaching a target or achieving an objective. Most Open world games are metaverses in their own right. The Celestial game virtual space is a 700km2 spherical world by the name Tykron. Developed by Caboose, Tykron is an unforgivingly hostile planet. Additionally, this world has a variety of native creatures that make different gaming levels challenging. Players have to explore the space and build the technology they require to return to their homeworld. The Celestial game came out in January 2020 and has seen some nice reception from the gaming community.
Celestial (CELT) and Blockchain
Celestial game exists on the OKEx Blockchain and has performed really well. OKEx blockchain is not that popular in the crypto space. However, Celestial has been able to perform exceptionally well on it. Celestial's native token, CELT, is listed on the OKEx exchange and currently has a 24-hour trading volume of over $24 million.
Why Is Celestial (CELT) Going Up?
Celestial has partnered with many big names in the crypto space. For example, the project is partnered with Coin98, OKEx, MEXC, and MATH wallet, among many others. Such collaborations help to foster legitimacy, especially in the budding GameFi niche. However, it would appear that the main reason for the pump is the current GameFi/Metaverse hype. Many projects have had nice runs on this hype, and traders are always hunting for new projects in the niche.
CELT Price Stats
Presently, CELT is trading at $0.11 with a measly $7,934,246 market cap. The project has a total of 5 billion CELT tokens. However, only 67,405,839 are in circulation. According to CoinGecko, CELT hit an all-time low price of $0.031 on November 12. However, since then, it has steadily risen to hit its all-time high price of $0.13 just 14 days ago (as of the time of writing). CELT might be one of the next hot GameFi tokens to pull a massive pump in price. A low market cap combined with the GameFi hype plus nice exchange listings might just be the type of mix needed.
