Overview of Shrapnel’s Shrappy Holidays 2024

Neon Machine is preparing for Shrappy Holidays 2024, a festive early-access event in its blockchain extraction FPS combining combatShrapnel. This event will offer fresh content, new game improvements, and a lineup of exclusive rewards. Running from November 18th, 11 AM PST, to November 25th, 11 AM PST, it’s accessible only to those with an Extraction Pack, which can be purchased directly from the game’s marketplace. For the holiday season, Shrapnel is bringing new experiences and surprises for its community.

Shrappy Holidays 2024 is a week-long celebration of both the Shrapnel community and the achievements of Neon Machine this past year. Players can expect exclusive holiday-themed content, a surprise announcement, intense action in the Sacrifice Zone, and even raffles for physical rewards. To participate, players need an Extraction Pack, available in four types, with the Basic Pack priced at $9.99. This pack includes early access to limited-time playtests, a playable MEF Operator, and a Gear Pack. The Shrapnel game itself can be downloaded from the Epic Games Store or HyperPlay.

Final Chance to Experience Solo Extraction Mode

Shrappy Holidays will be the last opportunity for players to enjoy Shrapnel’s Solo Extraction mode before major updates are announced in 2025. This mode was last seen during the STX3.2 event in July, and it’s expected that players will get an updated experience with some final touches as the event concludes. Neon Machine’s team is set to unveil big news for Shrapnel players next year, making this holiday event a special moment for Solo Extraction fans.

For this event, the Sacrifice Zone map gets a festive overhaul. Expect atmospheric fog, updated textures, a snowy landscape, and holiday decorations throughout the map. In addition to this seasonal look, two new weapons will be available: the Type 42 Revolver and the CL7 MK II, a new assault rifle. Another exciting addition is controller support, a much-requested feature from the community. These updates make Shrappy Holidays 2024 a visually immersive, festive gaming experience.

To earn rewards, players can complete daily and event missions, with some prizes exclusively available through raffles. Daily missions reset each day at 11 AM PST, rewarding players with various items and even Volume 2 of the Shrapnel Comic as an NFT after six completions. For a chance at physical prizes like an RTX 4070 graphics card, wireless PS5 controllers, a Shrapnel Summer Hoodie, and a physical version of the comic, players can buy raffle tickets using METAL at Shrapnel’s Moku-powered shop. Winners will be notified through their Moku account at the end of November.

Players can earn blueprints, or schematics, that vary in rarity and can be transformed into in-game assets and cosmetics. These schematics are earned primarily through gameplay and come in batches, with the first series offering a chance to get Sakura, a rare Zone skin. Higher rarity schematics increase the likelihood of receiving Sakura and can yield various other items useful in future gameplay. Schematics add an element of surprise, as players won’t know exactly what they’ll receive until they’re converted in the game.

NFT holders of assets like the BTC Shotgun Skin, BTC Pistol Skin, Heavenly Dragon Skin, or Operator NFTs have the chance to earn bonus rewards by completing specific missions during the event. Snapshots of NFT holdings will be taken on November 18th and November 25th. Those holding these NFTs on the specified dates and completing missions could earn special rewards like schematics or additional comic book volumes.

Zone Skins, previously called Sigma Skins, come in five rarity levels: Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, and Legendary, with each having a fixed supply. Equipping Zone Skins allows players to earn in-game assets and other bonuses for completing gameplay activities. The Heavenly Dragon Skin, a Zone Skin formerly known as the China Joy Skin, will be airdropped to players who completed the “Mission 2: Extract 5 Weapon Skin Fragments” challenge in STX3.2. Even those who missed completing the mission may receive an airdrop, making it a special skin to collect.
